It will finally all be over one way or the other.

The bandwidth savings alone will be astronomical.

Helleluljah.

For the sanity of the vast majority of Demonlanders this time cannot come quick enough.

... perhaps all the other JV threads can then be obliterated and we can focus on new topics like polls of what we should use the remaining picks on or who we should take in the under 17 mini draft.

I fear that it is only just the beginning if we are forced to use pick 3. It will be a Demonland meltdown of epic proportions.

I'm sure Rangey/neeldstherealdeal will still manage to get up a 'did we make the right call on Jack' poll.

Where is Rangey? Has he been put in the dark room with the Gimp for a couple of weeks?

just over 12 hours to go

Where is Rangey? Has he been put in the dark room with the Gimp for a couple of weeks?

theres got to be a 'poll' joke there somewhere WYL

If Emma Q is right and Cwood want pick 4 for Martin it-s in their interest GC not bid...hope yet

Wtf.. Another thread ! Lol

Amen to that.

????????????

????????????

Think he is talking about Jack Martin from the mini-draft.

I must say that a small part of me will lol if Jack Viney turns out to be a dud AFL footballer.

But most of me will just cry and become addicted to Valium.

On what website, channel, or radio station can we follow what is happening live?

Lol

I always picture Viney running out for his debut- fit and raring to go- looking good, confident- hitting the bags HARD, and then boom-

the ground opens up and swallows him whole.

I take a sip of my beer, say "cheers god mate" and normality ensues as I return to my normal state of being a depressed, hopeless dees supporter.

I hope we put together a deal, GC & GWS agree and don't bid, then we use a technicality as an excuse to reneg and screw them, and use the picks in a way that suits us best.

Unless we get Hogan.

Lol

Has a read. Not gonna happen

Pick 3 or pick 26... if ever there was a player I wanted Melbourne to pick, Jack Viney is it.

edit: every time I post something, the screen refreshes showing what I just wrote and I think... that is a sweet avatar man.

Jack Viney has had a bigger pre-release marketing presence than iPhone. This thread brings us to the level of camping out the front of the store.

Here I am. Anyone got a deck chair?

So does anyone think we will not take him if GC bid?

There are a few.

The funny thing is that they think that- and yet still have the requisite IQ to turn on their computers, log into Demonland, and type sentences.

Weird..

If I was working for the GC recruiting team I wouldn't bid on Jack. I'd be on crack and watching Underbelly with strippers.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.
