FAREWELL STEFAN MARTIN - SEPTEMBER 2012

Wellingham to WCE

Dawes to Melb

Stef Martin and Koby Stevens to Coll

Maybe some exchange of picks (WCE come up with something good here) to even up for Coll

Unconfirmed reports that we have just offered Collingwood pick 13 and Martin for Dawes and Rounds

Unconfirmed reports that we have just offered Collingwood pick 13 and Martin for Dawes and Rounds

considering trade week doesn't commence (sorry....Gilette Trade Week) until Monday, I'd say that's very unconfirmed

It's on the AFL trade updates site on Twitter.

Seriously got to love the trade period, I thought being brought up a Catholic, tooth fairy, Easter & Christmas was the biggest time in your life when you heard fanciful stories, well I think teh trade period well and truly replaces those old myths

Why on earth would you even consider Rounds in a package.

He has been in the system 3 years for 1 game.

To me that is ammunition for a de-listing not a trade.

Pick 13 and Martin for Dawes and Rounds is overs.

Keep it and draft Kennedy/Stringer/Garlett instead

If we are giving up pick 13 as part of the package...surely we want more than rounds...maybe a blair or goldsack to even out the trade

This surely hinges off Viney. If we have to use pick 3, we will likely want more value out of pick 13 won't we?

Please god...no..

I don't know why Melbourne would be looking at this sort of trade until 10.05am on Monday once we know what pick we'll be using for Viney. This trade would start to sound sane if it was pick 26 instead of 14, but even then it's not even.

That's the equivalent of offering pick 13 for Rounds in my opinion.

Please god...no..

Why P_Man?

To get something you have to give up something.

I would prefer to keep Martin however we have a poor list we finished effectively last with one real win.

There must be at least 12 - 15 players that are not good enough on our list.

We have to change some of these players this year and next year and the year after.

So get used to the fact a number of players on our list will leave in the next 3 years.

This is only year one.

Martin too Coll for Dawes

Martin too StK for Ray & 2nd rounder

Martin too Hawtorn for Savage. I would like this one!

Martin too Hawthorn for Young.

Martin too Bulldogs for 2nd rounder. Or this one!

It's all just too hard, isn't it? :P

Surely Rounds will be delisted, was struggling in the VFL.

I heard the exact same thing.

Lol I dare them to do this, I double f****n dare them to do this.

Similar to the pick 4 for Dawes and Wellingham IMO. No way would Melbourne be this stupid. Remember, we are the Demons, not the Dockers.

God these rumours crack me up, some moron journo to big noting spud says or posts something, it gets online and races around. All coming from the one source originally, so many hear it from different sources it must be true....

I think we should go hard for Clinton young using Stefan Martin and a pick.

i think young is a free agent?

That's the equivalent of offering pick 13 for Rounds in my opinion.

Agree, Martin for Dawes and rounds maybe?

Unconfirmed reports that we've offered Martin, pick 3 & 4 for rounds of sandwiches.

Watt's on em?

There better be some cucumber.

Feel sad for Stefan. Poorly mismanaged and developed by the club perhaps more than others. Best to him wherever he goes.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
