Well one of the better things to come out of FA is this:

If you are delisted by your club and another club shows interest - you can immediately sign there. No compensation is involved so it doesn't go against the players lost through the other FA or what I will call Veteran FA.

The latest to be thrown up:

Brisbane: Stiller and Sheldon.

Any love? Stiller might be an option across half back.

Clubs that delist players before the trade period mustn't rate the players in question.

At best they are options if we can't get anyone better during the trade period.

I'd prefer a draft pick on young talent TBH.

Please no rejects from other clubs.

Are you serious?

I think this is an ignorant comment.

Players that have been delisted off the top of my head: Jason Porplyzia, Brett Kirk.

There'll be many others, but they were the first that came to mind.

Jeez, here are some players that we might actually get and marginally improve the team if they fit the bill.

If there are a couple of pros with excellent work ethic that have been delisted - I don't think Neeld is going to give a f___.

And no-one has a gun to your head to read this thread - you can start as many threads about us getting Hawkins as you want.

Stiller would be automatically be in the top dozen players on the MFC list - such is the deplorable state it's in.

[censored].

I bet you would be one who would've said Joel MacDonald would be top 12 at MFC 3 years ago too.

Sick of MFC supporters who think just because player X is less [censored] then player y, let's say Bate for instance, we should recruit player x.

Stiller is shuffling deck chairs.

We are only looking for role players here jacey.

And while I disagree that a 'Stiller-type' would be the 12th player on the list I have zero problem with the idea of replacing skinny kids who don't work hard enough with seasoned pros that will contribute to the professionalism of the club and not detract from it.

I would say, considering the large role that a 24 year old 'deck chair' in Magner played this season - we will look again to older players ready to contribute.

Christ in a bike, this forum throws up some farcical speculation.

Two things:

1. What 'farcical speculation'? I see none.

2. How the hell can 'christ in a bike' be a saying?

Stiller would fit right in amongst our small nugget-like midfielders.

He's tough as nails too, but he's ANOTHER player whose level of skill by foot is just not up to AFL standard.

Small nugget-like? 187cm, 84kg and will 26 in 2013

He might be taller than Magner, Jones, the departing Moloney, Couch et al but his basic game style is the same - see ball, get ball.

He'd serve a purpose on our list - tough, no nonsense attack on the footy but he doesn't add anything spectacular.

A troll.

Or cognitively compromised.

no, a troll.

He has never heard that the AFL has a team called the Sydney Swans.

He has never heard of players like GARY ABLETT, SAM MITCHELL, PODSIADLEY etc etc.

i can't do this any more.

Christ ON a bike, peddler pedant.

Farcical speculation - unless you have a direct ear to the footy department - that we should pick up either of those two semi-scrubbers, Sheldon or Stiller.

'Farcical speculation'?

This is a thread on the numerous delistees from other clubs that are available through Delisted FA - which starts on Nov 1. It isn't speculation - it is happening and we will have a look. And it may be farcical to you, but that doesn't mean that it is farcical.

As I said to Olisik - you don't have to contribute to farce if you don't want to...
