The HUN lost all credibility this season re trades when I read that we had made a five year offer to Cloke...

This year I think how it works is if your struggling for a story you just make one up. heres one: Wellingham and Cloke have had interest from Fremantle. I have no idea if that is true or not, but say it in a newspaper and ill read it in half an hour on facebook as a fact.

Up there with my most frustrating Melbourne players. Was not far short of terrible this year, and always seemed to fly under the radar while others copped whacks on here.

Yet he was intrumental in our only significant victory over Essendon this year. Wouldnt have gotten close to that without him.

Like a lot of our players (or our team in general) he can be frustrating, but has been pretty consistent in the last couple of years. With injuries to key players and the form shown by TMac, he probably has been unsettled a little bit, and played back as well as forward... similar to Rivers, but hasn't adapted to it as easily as Rivers has done.

I love how people automatically hear things that are not confirmed and put it all out there. Garland is going nowhere...

Melbourne would also like Joel Selwood.. some one make a thread about that

I am interested in Miranda Kerr. Not sure if she is coming my way though.

Miranda signed a 3 year contract with me last year- I will trade her for a pick in the U17 mini draft (if you promise not to tell the police) and Rebecca Gibney (the older mans sex goddess)

Close to one of the most overrated Melbourne players.

A solid player, but with his football brain I'd happily trade in a heartbeat.

I tend to agree with this. Although I think his footy brain is fair to good but his decision making and brain fades really let him down sometimes.

Garland is beyond overrated. He has little to no football brain.

Anyone remember his soccer off the ground against Port in a crucial moment, people with a football brain dont do that

Move on ... Colin is signed for 3 years and has shown ability at AFL level. You don't just give up a 23year old with his experience now. I agree one brain fade agst Port, but remember his matchwinning effort vs the Bombers. Move on moderator. We have seen enough.

sure he played well against the bombers, but one good game doesnt make you a good player.

Nick Davis? whatd he ever do other than vs Geelong

So true! Therefore it stands to reason that...

Garland is beyond overrated. He has little to no football brain.

...one bad game doesnt make you a bad player!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
