Please, are you saying that Martin is the best ruckman on our list or have I misread your thread. Dawes would be a massive pick up for us we have mitch clarke and dawes will complement him beautifully. We need 2 big guys infront of goals. Take Hawthorn for instance they now have one big defender but we could have 2 tall solid forwards I think dawes will be a good pick up say for our pick 20 leaving us with pick 4 what a bloody top position to be in. After so many years of poor draft selections I think they have it absolutely correct this time for us to move forward

What a disspointment Jurrah has been, provided exitement to all Melbourne supporters but just fell away. Jurrah has alot of natural talent but was never prepared to do the hard yards required to play AFL it's a pity but there it is He has too much baggage maybe Port wll take him a very big maybe

Our midfield is terrible jones is the only shining light, the better midfielders once taking possesion of the ball mostly kick it long to position and only pass the ball to a player in a better position within the area of the centre square. our midfielders try to pass in the centre square to players who are not free ball spilled pack develops opertunity lost it goes on every week. You could get the best midfield coach to plan stratergies but the players have to exercise the plan and quite honestly they don't have the talent to do so that's why we loose games you can't keep attacking from the back half as oppersition teams close you down. Maybe with Jack Viney & Jones next year maybe better if we could snare Caddy our midfield would improve to move the ball into an uncongested forward half allowing better movement to goal, but saying that we aren't going to win too many games if we miss from within fifty and our oppersition kicks them from outside 50 We need to bolster the midfield one more tall forward to help Mitch, Fitzpatrick may be the one Howe also can take a grab but he needs to improve his kicking. If we can break even or win the clearence everyone who claim we have a terrible team will eat thier words because you can't win games when your thrashed in the midfield

Well after 34 consecutive years of being a member, player sponser and dotanating considerable money to help the club I have finally come to realise that mediocraty is rampant considering all the early picks we had over the past years and funny enough we were still losers our draft choices were extremely poor, and the club was considering to offer scully what we paid for mitch clarke. Now i mean to say they had scully for 2 years and personnal;y the guy is just an average footballer we all surely have to agree, but no they were determined to throw good money to keep him what does that say of our football department really is scully worth $750,000 the club offered to pay him absolute lunacy Now another question why did the late & great Jim Stynes have to go outside his board and get garry lyon, why did he not get Mclardy or other board members to fix the problem in his place as he was too ill. No he by PASSED ALL OF THEM, why was that a lack of confidence maybe I no longer have any faith in our administration but one person can't stand alone and too many of us accept what neeld says but what has he done with 2 or 3 games to go last year we were still a chance to make the 8, this year was a total disaster, the appointment of 2 young players totaly backfired but they are stuck with that how can thewy change it now. There was no doubt in my mind that Brent Maloney should have been captain and you would have seen a better player his heart was ripped out, and that would have paved the way for jones this year but they got it all wrong and we as supporters let it happen How are we going to stuff up this time i'm waiting to see, we got that coach from the crows, sorry his name escapes me, is it not strange as soon as he left the crows the very next year they ended up 2nd and playing a prelim while our board is crowing how lucky we were to get the coach they booted out camon give me a break. I FEEL THAT WE OUGHT TO BE VERY CAREFULL WITH WHO WE LET GO NEELD REALLY NEEDS TO GET IT RIGHT AS THE PRESSURE WILL BE RIGHT ON HIM IF WE CAN'T BE MORE COMPETATIVE IN 2013. THE SIMPLE FACT IS THAT OUR SENIOR CORE OF PLAYERS ARE NOT LEADERS AND ARE SIMPLY AVERAGE FOOTBALLERS IE. DUNN; MACDONALD; (GREEN & MALONEY ARE GONE); AARON DAVEY RELIED ON HIS SPEED BUT DUE TO AGE AND INJURIES HE IS NO LONGER THE FLASH AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE HE IS PLAYED HIS PACE IS GONE AND THAT WAS HIS BASIC STRENGTH MORTON IS TERRIBLE; COUCH & MAGNER WILL TAKE US NOWHERE NOT UPTO AFL STANDARD SIMPLY PUT OUR TALENT IS VERY THIN HORRIBLE RECRUITING DESICIONS OF THE PAST HAVE COME BACK TO HAUNT US
