Whenever there's an implosion at Essendon I jump onto "Bomberblitz to have a laugh at their pain and infighting. I bet those bastards are enjoying payback now.

you know what...that assumes we aere worse off. Maybe we arent

While I used to salivate at his potential and immense talent, I spent half of last year's games screaming at LJ to stop being so lazy, basically kicking junk time goals and rarely chasing.

He never had the attitude or the hunger.

I'd rather have a committed hungry and never say die player with 75% of LJ's potential.

Thats a pretty good player you just described.

Know where he is at present?

What a joke. Can't believe some people are saying thanks for the memories! He could of at least bought us dinner if he knew all along he was going to f**k us!

We've been by his side through this whole ordeal, which may I mention was through the fault of no-one but himself, and he's turned around and thrown us under the bus.

He had a few highlights but he's treated Melbourne quite frankly with complete disdain, and the supporters with even less. We've all been behind him and his way to pay us back is leave.

I understand aboriginals are closer to families but we gave him his big break and I'm so so disappointed in him. Leave Liam and never come back, I don't want to hear about you again.

For people who want us to shake out the list & move forward this isn't Pain. It's pleasure.

We will be stronger after our cleanup is done & dusted.

Yes finally someone gets it.

Congratulations Theo why is it everyone thinks that we get to have any input on where LJ goes.

He can enter the pre season draft.

He has said he will live no where else but Adelaide.

It is pointless GWS, CGS ,MFc or Bulldogs picking him.

Port is next if they want him guess what he goes to Port and the Dees get Zero.

The benefit to the MFC is we no longer have his problems and distractions.

I reckon there are quite a few at the MFC that are not crying themselves to sleep tonight.

A much bigger problem is Rivers walking to Geelong

LJ is a side show. nothing in 2012 and probably not a lot more in 2013 had he stayed.

I was over him months ago.

Lets get on with keeping Rivers.

I don't think he'll officially be Out of contract, til after the Trade period finishes, & prior to the draft begins

This is what helps clubs trade, before finalising the list..

The problem is everyone laughs at our footy club!

True but I am sure it will turn around eventhough it seems a long way off now.

If it doesnt it wont matter cause the MFC wont be in existence.

What the hell does that mean? If you have something to say, say it!

It mean's someone has just said something ugly and a bit disgusting (like "WHITE MELBOURNE POLICY"), and in the awkward silence that follows, a tool like me says "Oh Dear".

He just waits till the pre season draft deluded.

That is how we got Joel McDonald from Brisbane.

Just wait and as we had I think first pick we took him and Brisbane got nil

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
