The scan results won't be known until tomorrow, so until then, it's just speculation.

as someone said, surely he has had at least an X-ray, and IF there is a fracture that should be pretty obvious. A bad result from a scan could however still mean a long outage.

Best. Week. Ever.

Who doesn't love being a Melbourne supporter.

I know I get heaps of joy and satisfaction out of it.

It's incredible, what next?

You think you've hit rock bottom already but then you plunge a further 50 metres below.

Well I guess we can always find ourselves in the midst of a group sex scandal?

Although hard to imagine how that would work when our players are always so soft.

OK, now my comedy routine has hit rock bottom too.

What, I now have a Demonland warning point. Do the players get warning points?

Mr Admin, you have soured my night, lol.

What's a warning point? Does it mean I'm a good boy if I don't have one.

Ah, the elusive 2 day scan results. LJ would have surely had an X-ray in Sydney last night. As for the scans in Melbourne, it's for the full extent of the damage.

As for my source, he has never B.S'ed me in the past. Hope his wrong, but unlikely.

Well trust us when we say RudeBoy is a very good source.

Not sure if you are aware of the Jurrah-RudeBoy connection...but fair to say I'm backing RudeBoy in on this one. His source might be a bit more reliable.

Sprained ankle only - he will miss 2 weeks!

Put a grin on my face, and it's still there. And while I'm at it, RudeBoy, your posts are always appreciated and valued. Good on you!

If I ever met Liam, I would be tongue-tied for admiration.

hopefully this injury can be seen by tribal law as payback in someway and they no longer need to put a spear through his leg

It's like thinking you're going to have your leg cut off and then being told you'll only lose a toe.

Crappy, but so much better than first thought.

Phew!

Thanks Rudeboy.

God knows we can use some mediocre news, as opposed to really really really shite ones.

I have a friend who is a sadist, he went to a masochist and ask to be given all the pain she could muster. She just handed him a Melbourne membership.

This year can not get any worst. At least i hope i can't

Yes I have a warning point as well. Dont know what it means either.

Thanks from me to Rude Boy.

No worries guys. I guess the club says he'll miss 4-6 weeks, because although it's normally a 2-3 week injury, his interrupted pre-season will require an extra couple of weeks to regain match fitness. Still it's a lot better than missing 12 weeks with a broken leg. After all the [censored] he's had to deal with this year, he was certainly due some luck.

I could think of better ways and more painless ways of having some good luck, than thinking I had broken my leg and then finding out it was just a sprain :-)

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
