Someone didn't read the thread title.

Sadly - quite common around here.

We know we could beat the Tigers last year.

We know we are fitter than last year.

We know we have a game plan, unlike last year.

And we know that soon the boys will be able to deliver said game plan for 4 quarters.

So it's just a matter of when.

Never felt good about the brisbane game !

West Coast sa no more,

This week early was sure Tiges were winners,

now looking forward think it will be very very even, goal either way,

I just hope we show some endeavour and heart,

Go DEES give 'em HELL !!!

I think this is a realistic chance this game.

lets me honest, we have a better defense than Richmond - Frawley usually keeps Riewoldt pretty quiet and Vickory and Miller will probably miss nearly as many as they'll kick - particularly with set shots.

Our forward line is pretty one dimensional at the moment - or more just single maned with Clark - but who will they put on him? I assume they will double up on him but this might give Howe the odd opportunity.

But the game will be won in the midfield and lets be fair - there's is at its best for as long as I can remember, whereas ours has been probably the worst ive seen it. Bigger bodies will make the difference here hopefully. I think it will be won here.

I think the Dees will click - the game plan or the structures will suddenly fit and make sense and we will improve very quickly, perhaps in one game.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see Aaron really use his experience to lead, crumb and provide a genuine small option in the forward line tomorrow. It would add such a different perspective to our fwd 50 if he became really dangerous.

What am I looking forward to?

Spirit

Heart

Gritted teeth

Gut busting efforts

No side stepping

No basket ball tap-ons

Just a decent old muscle clenching deep digging never give in chasing down presure cooking turnover generating torso twisting heart pounding gut exploding chest engorging never stop till the whistleblows honest 120 minute

effort

by 22 proud and passionate players.

Not much. Just that. That's all.

And back it up again next week. And so (it should go) on....

Us winning by 41

Jordie blanketing Cotchin... again.

Mitch taking the lead in the Coleman.

Tapscott does a Neitz and Luke McCabe's Brett Deledio

Would be happy with that.

I'm hoping to see none of the following:

Token chasing

Misskicks

High tackles

Out on the fulls

Losing 1-on-1 marking contests

Long, blind bombs to the forward 50

Casually taking kick-ins

Attempted speccies with no-one to crumb the ball at ground level

Being drawn to the ball like little-leaguers

Ruck taps to disadvantage

More behinds than goals

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
