Ok, so he is a speculative young tall with good skills?

I will defer to jcb, bhima and others for training results and comparisons to similar players at the club.

if someone wants to grab it off youtube (I'm inept), there is a very nice highlight package - looks very clean indeed

i know its only a highlight reel - but looks likely if he can put on a few kgs

got a bit of silkiness to him, keeps his head up and clean hands

on another note first post so hope im following rules, also i found this profile pic through google not sure if ive taken anyones please let me know and ill change it.

Looking at the highlights, he looks like he's got a decent goal kicking style, but seems to make a few skill errors when setting up the play.

He's a project player who will hopefully come good in a few years.

Question - a lot of raps about Jai early on. Why did he drop through to the Rookie Draft?

Looking at the Herald Sun article posted above, I'm guessing it's because of his apparent "inconsistency", "lack of urgency", and the fact that he "wasn't up to standard".

Hopefully he has fixed these issues. The highlights video looks promising.

This is straight out of the "How to pi$$ billy2803 off in one sentence" book.

Looks like he's got a decent goal kicking style, but seems to make a few skil errors...blah, blah, blah. It was 50 seconds of footage FFS. He was picked up in the rookie draft FFS. WHAT MORE DO YOU EXPECT???

I think i heard as was said he showed glimpses of abiility but wasnt consistent enough,

Also think i read that he came on late in the season for Geelong? hence not many recruiters saw a heap of him to make up their minds. or enough quality in him.

Im liking the connections which have been made with the new coaches and some recruits, Sheehan, Couch, Magners all on recommendations as late picks, also Tuck being recommended as well

A big boy - looks like a "wait and see" type to me.

I am sure that the lack of urgency etc issues have been assessed and hopefully addressed or he wouldn't have been picked.

Stoked with getting Sheahan, genuinely thought he wouldn't make it beyond the PSD to pick 6 in the rookie draft. Surprised to see the Doggies selected Roberts over Sheahan but couldn't be happier with their decision.

Serious bargain as far as I'm concerned and a highly talented 18 year old KPF is a perfect fit for the rookie list (as they need time to develop).

Hate to say this, but reminds me a lot Brent Grgic in his movements.

Please dont say that, you'll moz him :)

The word choice has annoyed me more than the accusation...

It is 'pea' heart.

As that would be the size of the muscle.

maybe it was meant as an amalgam of pea-heart and p155-weak (as in pee)

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
