Yeah got mine yesterday too.

May have to stop this thread though.

We could have a record number of posts on Monday, if everyone tells us they got their package.

What did people choose in the options for scarf, dees shop discount etc?

I went for the discount...have endless supply of scarves in the wardrobe...and I've given plenty back to the charity bin!

Asked the MFC to hang onto mine to save them the money. Our 2 boys will get their stuff anyway. They get a bit more excited about getting stuff in the mail than I am.

Clever move by the club I reckon, a smart way to save a bit of money and they promoted it well too, with the "i've already got 10 scarves" tagline.

My only gripe with it was that the fridge magnet with the draw should be in all the packs sent out... I didn't want another scarf and lanyard but I did want the draw / fridge magnet as that's the one thing I use.

I found it amusing that St Kildas president copped an absolute pasting in the media a couple of weeks ago when it was revealed you'd have to pay extra for a membership scarf this year. His rationale for the decision was that people 'already had 10 scarves in the wardrobe and dont need another one', clearly the way we went about addressing the same issue was much better handled than theirs.

I know what your saying but when I see someone walking around in last years scarf my brain automatically thinks " Didn't renew the membership this year mate". It's bad I know but in 2012 I want to be wearing the 2012 membership scarf not the 2011 one. BTW your get a 20% discount voucher at the Demon shop with your membership anyway.

Or the faces you see on Queens Birthday every year, you haven't seen at another match since 2006 wearing their 2006 scarf!!!

Mind you I quite like the 2006 version, longer and wider than the last couple of years.

Well if you see a guy with the 2011 scarf and 2 young boys with all the gear, go easy on him 'cause it could be me.

Well SD you may have seen me last season in my 2010 scarf.

The reason was not that I did not buy a membership but i refused to wear the Maroon and blue we issued last season.

As well as that if the 2012 one is not Red and Blue I will again be in the 2010 version.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
