It appears, according to the 7 news, that Rodney will be appointed coaching Director at Collingwood by the end of the week. It also appears that the players and the club knew Mickey was leaving and that was confirmed by Maxwell in the news as well.

Eade will have a bit of a job controlling the ego of Buckley and I wonder how long he'll last.

Who Robbief Eade or Buckley?

I think Mick's been a little hard done by, and if this stupid deal wasn't in place he would have still coached next year. This will hopefully start to unravel things down at Scum town!

I couldn't care about Eade going there, or Buckley coaching them.. I want to focus on my team next year. The rest is merely gossip!

Go Dees!

i just hope Malthouse talks to Mark Neeld quite often next year....i am positive Mick will help Mark to succeed.

I get the feeling Mick wants Neeld to succeed more because Neeld really is Malthouse's protege and was being groomed by Malthouse, whereas FIGJAM was forced upon him by the Pies and became the successor without Malthouse wanting it.

Buckley taking advise from Rocket? I just can't see Buckley's ego giving him a second of his attention.

Shame most of the action will take place behind closed doors.

Going to be fun to watch though ... :)

Exactly. Malthouse's heart will beat very true for the red and the blue next year. I think you can virtually add him to the list of new MFC coaches for next year, albeit on an unofficial basis.

The dislike between Buckley and Malthouse is palpable, and human nature would probably dictate that Malthouse wouldn't want to see Buckley succeed. Neeld, on the other hand, is his man.

Time for a rumour

Will Pendlebury join GWS in 2013?

Im dont usually speculate but when a player in his prime signs a one year contract only it sends one message - big bucks or I'm off

For me it reads he is hedging his bets, if the pies are still flying and more importantly, Buckley is a good coach, then he will sign again and stay. If not, the bye bye.

Wishful thinking.

Malthouse has the teams best interests ahead of Buckley and for that reason he will want to see the Filth challenge again.

Mickey said the other day I was born a "Collingwood supporter and I will die a Collingwood supporter".

I was under the impression that Neil Craig will be Neeld's mentor?

In some way I was hoping we would get Eade on our coaching panel. Only so I could yell "Rocket! Yeah!" I'm disappointed that pleasure has been taken away from me.

Probably a good thing he didn't become the head coach then.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
