take of this what you will...

A close friend, who i believe not be a s#@t talker, has told me he was sitting next to dawes and wellingham and told me this,

"dawes and welligham were there

and im almost 100% sure I heard dawes say his signed with melbourne"

hopefully there is some truth to this

Timmy no disrespect to your friend but I don't think a player that has a chance to play in a grand final would be throwing this around with a team mate around. I have no doubt the MFC through his management have shown interest but I think it is a long way from any deal being done, in fact he can't sign a contract with us until he is traded or we draft him.

May I suggest that this thread be returned to concentrating on actually heard rumours, rather than individual poster's idle speculation about trading X player + Y pick and getting Z gun. There are plenty of those type threads in the drafting and trading board.

Just a thought.

Hells.

Why? Do posters really believe all this? I love the speculating, it creates a chat and a laugh.....

The Eagles are travelling to Los Pollos Hermanos before the game tonight to get a 'winning edge'; must be something in the chicken.

A first round pick plus Trengove might !!!

Only Sewell we could afford and not a SILLY pick up is Myles Sewll his brother who plays for North Ballarat in the VFL.

Warnock + Newton + morton+ Maric + Dunn and a forth round pick for an Xbox 360 and a copy of gears of war 3.

this is trash talk & disrespectful to the club.

If Brad has 4 yeara or even 5 left in him he would be amazing,

his brother who i went to school with was ALWAYS touted as the better player, or best "Sewell" his other brother plays at a very high standard for what is the BFL grade... yeah but he was always the "best"Sewell, this coming from Chris Maple, once high school and TAC cup coach now Western bulldogs development coach for 2 years now

The BIG question over Myles is his Improvement, he is a JJ Liston trophy winner and best on ground in last years VFL grand final, has talent and a known VFL accumulator, can he improve or is he similar to Shane Valenti, yes he has won 2 JJ Listons but Paul Johnston one this Trophy

His deficiencies are meant to be disposal and speed, his "football brain" is meant to be spot on....maybe someone who will turn into a Mitchell Type... who knows, i would rate him far higher than macnamara for starters

If the coach you mention above thought he was that good - he would have been picked up last year as the Bulldogs gained a few .However, we need a developed body player whom can get the ball out of the centre. Luke Ball is not quick and his disposal delivery can be questioned..we need a similar player to him..IMO.There will be several players whom will be picked up from the VFL this year.

experienced up from the VFL this year.

Yeah that accord to me while falling asleep last night, but im just saying how it was, he obviously has some deficiencies holding him back, maybe this development coach wanted to and got out voted????

I'm not speculating on the Hawks' needs.

Warnock is out of contract, wants to leave, and isn't good enough to play in our backline.

Due to these reasons - we will get very little for him.

He has slmost zero value to the MFC at the trade table.

Can't accept that with possibly a few clubs in the mix.

What chance Goddard?

none, he will go to GWS for a million a year

This is far too positive for you to be making this up.

Sounds good if true!

Even though Mahoney has been named as Football Manager?

Even though Mahoney has been named as Football Manager?

I never thought he was head of the FD, but I could be mistaken. CC is still named the General Manager of Football on the structure...

All will be explained soon, I'm sure...

It is a rather balmy night in Melbourne.

It is a rather balmy night in Melbourne.

Haha I bloody hope so!

It is a rather balmy night in Melbourne.

Thought it was a bit on the warm side, Redleg. May have to later neil in front of the air conditioner to reduce the beads of sweat.

What about the weather in Walsh St, Melbourne ?

Not that one. The guy that oversees total football operations

left vacant by Leoncelli

That's the way I read it anyway.

Might be a catastrophe for some.?

How much stronger does Tapscott need to get?! Fitter, yes; faster, maybe. But stronger?

I don't know if you can be too strong, unless your body is out of kilter. But too heavy, or too Big, maybe.

Oh, my favorite time of year is Autumn, for that very reason.

So it's the Director of Football position. That was the position held by Leoncelli. Answerable direct to the Board on Football Operations.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
