COLIN SYLVIA was named the AFLs biggest under-achiever CALE MORTON was number 9.

Whilst probably accurate, it was just the opinion of one journalist from a sub-standard media organisation.

EDIT: I agree with Sylvia, but not Morton. I don't believe Morton has the skill set, body or ability to be much better than he currently is.

Yep, we have 22 players on the bench.

So glad I'm about to fly overseas, I can't be bothered watching this shite anymore.

Hope its a one way ticket I can't stand listening to this shite anymore from supporters like you who think we are a couple of years ahead of where we are

Richmond should not be the same same as us, We should be above them, there in lies a massive problem with this football club. We have much more talent than they do, but unlike us, they have players who play with heart, desire and aggression.

I asked your Mum and Dad, they said yes.

Davey will be rubbed out too.

Needs to go away and think about if he wants to be at the MFC because he won't play for the rest of the year.

No great loss at the moment ...

He's really lost his way, whereas he should be one of our leaders and someone we can count on every week. Therein lies the major MFC problem.

We are friggin woeful. It is an embarrassment watching these people pretend to play footy.

We have the worst leadership going around. Our captain is on the bench, Davey is pissweak, Moloney rarely sighted. Wtf is happening to this club?

I now find it very difficult to actually sit down and watch us play. I don't know if I expect too much or if I've severely overrated our 'stars', but seriously, it's difficult to swallow.

I know we're down on confidence and all that crap but some of the things I see our players do now just amazes me, and not in a good way. One thing on Tom Scully, is he low on confidence, struggling with injury or just going through the motions?

Sounds from the radio like a couple of contests have been shirked in the first half. Jones was mentioned which surpised me - anybody watching and see this

we're not flash - what's new?

Too many players not desperate enough.

Kicking skills atrocious.

Can't get a clearance.

Our mid field panic

No legit targets up forward.

Both teams are years away from any silverware

I don't remember seeing Jones shirk, definite one from McKenzie amazingly, but he did the work to get back in and get the ball. Davey has shirked his running duties a couple times, don't know what's going on with him. Not looking good, better to be listening on radio than seeing, hurts the eyes

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. 2024 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin

The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress. SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
