Some of the following are lucky to get votes from me because they all made multiple disposal errors. Sadly however, many of their team-mates were even worse with ball in hand. It's just sole destroying for team morale and supporters alike.

5- Jones (killed himself time and time again. Shite user of the ball)

4- Frawley (kept Kennedy quiet and got involved. Needed to uppercut himself for some of his disposal decisions)

3- McDonald (great defensive game, but needs to stop trying to be superman)

2- Petterd (OK)

Anyone that gives Jones votes is kidding themselves. Cost us at least 4 goals to West Coast with turn overs and 2 goals to us by missing easy targets. Yes people will say he gives his all but if we continue to accept medocrity in disposal like him and Bartram then we will get nowhere.

I see your point, but lets be honest, he was on many occasions the only guy going in head first, without a single mate to help him. His disposals were rushed under enormous pressure and yes, they were average, but at least he was out there busting his balls, which is the only thing I actually want to see right now given the season is shot to [censored].

I'm not a big Jones fan and I think (hope) many others will pass him, but it was damn near embarrassing seeing him throw himself head first at contests while guys like Davey stood on the outside waiting for the easy handpass. Totally unacceptable, and he must feel cheated by his mates.

Davey and Sylvia aside the application today was good. We were beaten by a more mature, better drilled and better skilled outfit. I am sick of applauding players that bust their balls but make amateur skill and decision errors. Bartram and Jones are poor and whilst they are in our starting 18 we will be going nowhere.

We've replaced Ward and Godfrey with Jones and Bartram and you're right as long as they are in our starting 22 then we are going nowhere.

Jones has got plenty of heart but so did Godfrey and he was eventually delisted as he just wasn't up to it, unfortunately it was about 100 games too late. We hang on to players at Melbourne if they show a bit of grit and toughness as we're not used to seeing it it.

We generally like em soft and skinny something we can work on.

To be fair, Jones and Bartram (in my view) are each better than Ward and Godfrey respectively. Having said that, neither is particularly good. Great endeavour, poor skill execution.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
