Couldn't see a topic devoted to this on the front page, but the club has issued an update with Jimmy's condition.

Jim Stynes update

Really doesn't sound good, thoughts and prayers are with the big man and his family.

man.. poor guy..

really puts things into perspective with people causing drama over contracts, etc..

Get well soon Jimmy!!!!

This line doesn't fill me with confidence:

Doctors determined the best course of action was not to remove the tumour and to consider other treatment options.

Get well Stynesy, you're a champion.

Muster every bit of strength you have big fella. We are all with you and your family in these toughest of times.

I guess it puts it into perspective when Jim is dealing with this and people are on here whinging about having to go to etihad.

All the best Jim I trust the doctors know the next best step to take. You keep fighting. We want you around for quite awhile yet.

I think that's the point, not much there to fill anyone with confidence.

Thinking of Jimmy and his family.

I came across this.. more power to you Jimma

In the darkest hour the soul is replenished and given strength to continue and endure.

May your God's strength be with you lad !!

This sounds black.

We need to win the next 4 badly for him.

Everthing else pales in insignificance

I wish so too. Please guys do it for Jimmy.

He has and will continue to fight on valiantly. A great man.

All our prayers are needed at this time. A win on Sunday will be the best tonic Jim could receive.

Let's get behind those DEES on Sunday & Jimmy.

Fight on Big Jim. We're all behind you...

"Whatever it takes" Big Jim Stynes...."Whatever it takes"

A win over the Eagles is needed this sunday....

Get well Jimma every demon fan and the whole extended footy community is with you in this.

I care more for Jim Stynes than winning the next four games for him. I hope they win but i dont connect the two issues.

Put yourself in his shoes. The team you love getting a win this week wouldn't give you joy and make you feel a little better - emotionally?

You're confused mate.

Never good when they open you then close you right back up again! :(

This world is just [censored] up. Talk about someone who deserves this sort of crap less.

Fingers and toes crossed that he keeps on fighting and somehow gets better.

In my life ,I have done relatively little for others to bring them great joy or inspiration .Yet I enjoy perfect health .

I would gladly give some of my time to this great man if i could .

There is no God .

Fairness is merely a word .

My Best Wishes Jim.

They're pretty good at treating tumors locally with focused treatments these days. Hopefully this is not any more than whats stated, and they can target treat This bloody thing.

We're all with you Jimma.

Love to all Jim's Families.

This is surely the most important thread on the site and we all send our support and best wishes to Jimma, Sam and family. The big fella has done so much to inspire and lead and I for one will enjoy being in the stands in a few years time to watch him lift the cup.

Very well said CJJ, I would suggest most of us fall into that category.

All the best Jimmy, we are all praying for you mate, and those who don'rt pray are willing you on!

Been very quiet on news about Jimmy given all the other media surrounding the club.

Any news/comments on his health?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
