Jaeger O'Meara is a WA under age player who can be drafted as one of those four picks that GWS must trade over the next two years.

His nickname is "jaeger bomb".

I would have to say that is one of the best nicknames going round.

The kid is a very good player too by all reports.

Really?

It's not very imaginative.

And if you listen to Shifter Sheehan and Hutchy, they seem to think his name is said with a hard "J", so it doesn't really work (although I have my doubts to their accuracy)...

I prefer nicknames that have a bit more to them than just tacking a word on the end of their name.

Like "the worm", "bowser", "chip", "the big Aristotle", "the penetrator", "the brick with eyes", "the hairdryer", "the galloping gasometer", "purple headed warrior"...

True. The penetrator and the hairdryer are quite good nicknames. Can you bestow them upon some of our current players?

Playing on words and with words is far more imaginative than calling Tapscott the penetrator because he has a long kick.

The bloke starts a thread and you throw him down. Jesus Demonland is getting [censored].

???

"The penetrator" was David Teague, for reasons probably best not discussed on this forum.

Don't know where you got Tapscott from.

I only stated that I didn't agree it was "one of the best nicknames going round", as I prefer those that use a bit of imagination and continued to create discussion on nicknames.

You're right, "jesus Demonland is getting [censored]", when precious types like yourself overreact.

Mark Roberts....The Fridge was the best.

He really did look like a kelvinator!!

Didn't The Fridge come back having trimmed down one pre-season and they started calling him "The Eski"?

Posted

And on Jaeger ... I would have thought "Chuck" would have been a good moniker for him.

Anyone familiar with 'Chuck Yeager's Air Flight Trainer'? The greatest air flight simulation game of all time!

Possibly!!! But i don't ever remember Mark Roberts trimmed down!! He was always big..particularly at Nought.

To be fair, i have a strange feeling that Artie is E25, or enforcer25 from the days of old.

so many similarities,

unapologetic

is so confident in his opinion its annoying

and is on it just as much.

hell he has been on for 2-3 months and already has like 950 posts..... just like.... E25!

Depends. Ever been sick on Jaeger bombs?

Sounds like you haven't... :D

If you're asking me ... oh yes. Two weekends ago. Knocked back four or five of them at the Dalton bar in S t KIlda and paid for it for about 5 days thereafter. Shocking stuff!

I thought my heart was gonna stop after about a dozen of the things one night.

Took me 24 hours to get over the shakes.

As good if not better is a Skittle Bomb. Not sure if you've ever had one but it's like Cointreau and a few other things. Literally tastes like a skittle.

You're in bed passed out before you even realise you've spent $100 on them in an hour, they're just that good!

Jeremy Howe surely must be known as "Gordie" after the ice hockey player Gordon 'Gordie' Howe, Bart simpson used his name in a few episodes to make him famous

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
