yes but his veterans rookie upgrade possie will still be available won't it?

Yes of course. But you need to delist 3 from the primary list.

His pace is valuable as this is still a problem for the team. I first noticed against Essendon that he is a real competitor – no wonder Bails promoted him.

Well done Nicho on the game today.

But I have no doubt that he can.

I agree, either Nicholson or Bail will have Bartram dislodged from this role by the end of the season IMO, long term Bartram's not an option for us because of his poor disposal, just like Warnock.

Dunn, Bate, Newton and ummmmm, Morton.

Both Dunn and Bate are contracted for next year, they'd have to be traded.

Coulda sworn Bate was up this year.

I don't think so. He definately deserves it, but spots on the senior list are precious this year. Will be a lot of hard decisions already without finding another spot for a rookie.

He's only in his first rookie year, we don't have to elevate him yet unless the old rules have been changed. IMO he still has another year potentially to run as a rookie, if we need to.

Well done Nicho on the game today.

Was disappointed when dropped last week. Has genuine pace and skills look solid.

You're right. We need genuine leg speed in our team which is why everyone is hanging out for Blease to get it together but Nicholson might be the surprise.

Or talked into going onto the rookie list on same contract conditions?

Happened before.

He's a classic low left footer, but I did see him nail a 30m right foot pass today as well....good work Nicho.

The kid played well today.

He has his chance and he is not going to die wondering.

Three times i thought he was trying to do to much and he proved me wrong.

Burnt off the chasing defender.

He throws everything at the contest.

Showing a few others they are in danger for the future.

I agree, he is an absolute gem I thought he was going to get caught a couple of times too but he arched his back and went for it. Love his left foot it hits right where it should. He's a keeper.

Great bloke aswell, loves the club and with that pace, tackling, confidence & sharp left foot, is a bloody handy Davey replacement.

Another potential gem from the rookie list. Wouldn't surprise if he finds himself playing on Jake King at some stage next Saturday.

Blease is still too Outside atmo. I put him closer to Morton than Nicholson... Blease, in my opinion, is competing with Bennell for similar Roles.

Reminds me in that sense of Simon Buckley - not afraid to take on the chaser, and has the speed to do it. But seemingly at this stage with more talent, and hopefully a better attitude.

I can't remember the last time we had someone with pace and genuine skill.

Nicho just excites me more than a rookie selection should. He can kick, he has confidence, he runs like the wind, and he goes in hard. Excellent. One of his runs early in the piece today didn't come off and he got pinged, you could have forgiven him for going back into his shell, but it didn't faze him in the slightest. He was relentless.

Just give him a real number next year.

Big Max will be a beauty...

Yeah, can't believe some people on another thread saying he needs to be dropped next week to make way for Jamar. That tackle he laid in the 3rd qtr was a real "club" effort. What does dropping a guy and ignoring such an effort, say to him ? In a perverse way, it's a nice dilemma for the selectors to have, eh ?

I think we have found our small defender with good foot skills. Bartram...its not you.

I know the game was over, but his goal was a beauty! Showed great speed and skill to get the ball, then backed his own judgement to kick a beautiful 6 pointer ! Welcome to the team.

I really like the look of Nicholson. I'll be keen to see how he goes for the rest of the year. If he can hold his spot when we have some more guys off the injury list it'll be a great first year.

Thought another good game today by the young kid.

Goes in hard, has pace, and loves to take the game on. Still a few things he needs to work on, but i reckon we'll be seeing plenty more of him in the red and blue.

He was better than solid today but did take on his opponent one-on-one a couple of times when he should have dished it off. But his attack on the ball (and player) is second to none. I arrived late today and missed the first 15 minutes so got stuck up high with the seagulls and helicopters. Different vantage point that allowed me to examine setups etc... Nicholson relly took the game on. He left his opponent unmarked a number of times to go help out a team mate, and if the ball turned over he gut ran back to his opponent. Really impressed. Surely he will be placed on our senior list for 2012. Especially if he can hold this form.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
