Harsh on McKenzie, thought he did as good as job as any on Pendles(apart from the last half of the last quarter)

Did he? Krakour had 15 disposals and kicked two goals v Bennell's 6 disposals. Bennell did not hurt Collingwood going the other way.

I agree He had one passage of play.

Whatever his postion is it is not in the backline.

I will get jumped on however I have been saying it all year.

He is not good enough.

Sorry guys just to comment quickly I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to go into the rooms after the game and Rivers was genuinely devestated. He was sitting by himself just in a state of disbelief. He didn't play great but it's not all his fault 1 on 1 on Cloke ain't easy. Midfield didn't work hard enough

Not a bad summmary Joeboy.

I thought Bennell was put to the sword by Krakoeur. Mind you with 74 inside 50s it was not a good place for defenders.

Jones: The weakest link

Couldnt believe how often he sold team mates into trouble today, and how he would seem to hold the ball just 2 steps too long. Critical errors directly cost goals.

He does it every week! Been saying this for a long long time yet get howled down. This guys is the complete hack!

As for the rest - too many mistakes. We are 3 years behind the maggies, and it was clear today.

I find it very funny the things people say about Jones. He is the new Cam Bruce for exactly the opposite reason. While Bruce would dish off to a bad option to avoid being hit, Jones will occasionally hold the ball too long because he refuses to dish off to a bad option. I'll take Jones any day.

Also, let me say that the rot began when someone (can't remember who) chose to handpass to Jones in the midst of three Pies rather than go the other way to three unmarked teammates. Even then Jones very nearly got the ball out again.

Green - [censored] poor form

Jones - not to him!

Bartram - week too early?

Watts - ok in glimpses

Gysberts - nothing overly special

Bennell - shut out Krakouer

Frawley - some awful disposal

Trengove - oddly off today

Morton - kept pushing hard

Sylvia - A game today

McKenzie - did he play?

Moloney - poor disposal really

Jurrah - lazy or carrying

Rivers - outmuscled, wrong opponent

McDonald - played fairly well

Scully - lots of nothing

Martin - anonymous mostly today

Gawn - raw but potential

Howe - will be fantastic

Jetta - average, average day

Strauss - AFL suits him

Evans - tried his best

you wanna back it up using stats? i didnt even know krakour was playing until the second half.... i'm very surprised he got 15 disposals. Bennel saved us from defence 2 or 3 times and effectively. Krakours goals were cheap [censored].....

How was that 5 bounce run through the centre? any other game that woulda burnt off the opposition

Bennell did some good things but I think Krak won that contest - but he wasnt the only Pie to win their one on one.

On the Jones debate - his disposal was terrible (as it is often) but he puts his head over the ball and gets it. I would love someone with the disposal skills of Trennes (the usual Trennes not the one today) having the ball the entire time but until the kids start getting under the packs Jones is always going to end up with the ball.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
