He will be on our VET list by the time he comes out of contract.

We will easily match whatever port will offer.

Not going anywhere.

Port wont have a top 10 pick unless they finish rock bottom. And to trade an AA ruckman and arguably the best tap ruckman in the AFL for just that would be daft.

We are struggling with developing big bodied players with experience and we go and trade a gem away for an uncertain pick. I dont think so.

Yep, spot on. I wouldn't move him for pick #1.

Exactly, and anyone that thinks otherwise has no idea.

Yeah, let's take away the backbone of our side (who took almost a decade of hard work and development to finally become one of the best players of his ilk in the league) and take a punt on another young player, further putting back our possible 'premiership window' by another couple of years....

Look at how well our midfield is doing without him now.

Jesus.

We already covered him on the Scully thread

Decided he would be bad for team balance and not a true demon believer

Fair point. But for a club to say heres pick 1 and somthing else...would be crazy not to entertain the idea.

Is Jesus up at pick 1?

I don't agree. Jamar will be about 30 when this side reaches its prime, he should still be playing great foot by then. Trading him now, even for pick 1, sets us further back development wise. Do we really want to take yet another backward step next year?

When is our window?

2013-2019ish.

How much of that will Jamar play?

I think he can play, even PCL-less, into his early thirties.

That gives him until around 2017ish.

We should keep him.

On a side note, does anyone else feel weird when they see years like '2017' being around the corner?

As a sci-fi fan, it is a little offputting...

2019!! The MCG will be under water thanks to GW by then.

Hence the importance of doing whatever it takes to bet the likes of JC & Moses onto our list!

Melbourne will be like Venice but the G will have a surrounding levee system that allows it to stay intact.

The money will be spent, because it has to be spent.

ShytyHead carpark will be fun though with all its diving boards

Exactly, should have a good hard look at Noah for the same reason.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
