Good turnaround by Casey!!! Still a close game though but we've fought our way back into it with a slight lead courtesy of Fevva!!!

I'm interested in how Michael Evans is going as he seems to have been outstanding for Casey this year so far.

Kelvin Lawrence chips in for his third.

Evans is doing well but not starring.

Just a quick word on the following WJ if you get a chance:

Strauss

Blease

McKenzie

Bate

Morton

MacDonald

Evans

Nicholson

Gawn

(perhaps would have been better listing the players i didn't want updates on!!!)

Seems our conversion rate is much better at this level.. Some others ought to looking and learning

How ironic. Melbourne play a fantastic Q1 and shocking rest. Sounds as if Casey have had a shocking 1st and incredible last 3. Ahhh :(

Unselfish Fevola misses a pass but the game is as good as over.

WJ- Who would be not your best 4 today but the 4 you would potentially see filling voids next week for the 1's..

The above were the official best given by the club.

My best were Jordie McKenzie and Matthew Bate. Max Gawn had a great game in the ruck and a special mention to Sam Blease and Kelvin Lawrence who got the team going in the first place. Along with Michael Evans and Dan Nicholson they showed a clean pair of heels to the Bombers.

Now for the long drive home.

I'm liking that. Welcome back, Jordie. :) 30 tackles? 40?

JORDIE! good news at last. Our midfield could not be crying out for this man anymore right now.

Bate can replace Dunn next week.

Would love to know how Gawn, McDonald, Blease, Morton and Strauss played, because I'm going to assume that any other changes will be made from these guys.

How lucky was Bate be left out of yesterdays mess?

Comes up today smelling like a rose.

Yep. Thank God for Jesus Watts McKenzie. :)

In all seriousness though, pumped the boy is alive and kicking (no pun intended). Straight back in the side for me also.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
