no jamar ? did I miss something. Im not happy with this I know its the care factor cup but a winning culture breeds success and unlike previous years we have said we want to win yet with close to full strength we put in this tripe performance.

This is what concerns me. I know it is only pre-season, but we have a near full strength side while Essendon have a lot of key players out. We also had a 2 week break compared to a 6 day turn around. Not a great sign in my eyes.

Bombers lining up for goal after Warnock has a massive brain fade. This could seal it for the bombers.

Ryder has scored

Bombers by 21.

Game over man, game over!!!

Tough to listen to. But we just plain didn't want it. The Etihad curse continues...

Plenty to like. More games into the kids. Trengove, Grimes, Sylvia, Jamar... some from the old, some from the new.

Bombers wanted it more, and had it all worked out more too. Sucks for us, but not the end of the world.

Davey the only injury worry?

Don't think Watts is injured.

Pretty poor considering the article about making a splash in the paper.

Bail loses his feat and Winderlich kicks a goal to seal it for the bombers

Time to hibernate until Round 1. Got a lot of work to do and for those that said top 4 four us, not gonna happen. Got our work cut out to mark top 8 in my opinion,

What's with the constant switching into the middle of defensive 50 to a contest and the hanballing to players 1 meter away under pressure?

Good news re: Davey. As for Melbourne players handballing to players under pressure, that is a bad habit we've been guilty of for years!

Gee it didn't take long for the old MFCSS to kick in.

I am new to this site, so that comment makes little sense. And even before tonight I though we were way of top 4 and not a certainty for finals. We are a young (and exciting) side, but we still have a lot of work to do as a team, especially in terms of development of young players. I am very much looking forward to season, and I only said hibernate as I have no interest in the NAB cup when Melbourne is out.

Ok...weare not as good as the Media writes. Still much work to be done.

Still February though, but i expect a Hard week on the track because Essendon are not that good (or was M Knights a Garbage Coach?)

Just to enlighten you then.. MFCSS = MFC Supporter Syndrome. This is the belief that a loss equates to the footy equivalent of the end of the world. It most commonly manifests itself in the pre-season or early rounds.

The response was to your initial post which didn't illuminate on your belief as to how you already thought we would perform... I for one, believe we are still a good chance to make the finals at the time of the year it matters.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
