Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Do you mean Watts will be nominated for Tool of the Week for missing high pressure set shot? I still can't believe how much he struggles under pressure! Very Brighton Grammar like

Which one? The one on 3/4 time or the one in the last? He is getting among it more and more but geez he made some ordinary errors.

I liked the Morton one. Garland one might have been a touch harsh.

Otherwise, having a good year Joeboy.

Oh... And you know as well as I do Watts won't be nominated. Liked his game, except the kicking, but you know the mugs that nominate won't allow it after a loss. I think there might have been a small forward in the WC/Dons game that might pip him.

Both, this is the reason why i think he is lucky to be in the team. I can see his potential like everyone else. But i'm more realistic about it. Numerous times he struggled under the pump, Had a lot more time to steady but was rushed. Great yeah he can learn the game but it's whats best for the club not Jack. So learn at Casey and when he is ready he will come in and be much better for it!

Bartram - Great first half

Bate - needs right foot

Bruce - shoot me now

Davey - erred but thrilling

Dunn - shave the mo

Johnson - seen this before

Jones - coughs it up

Jurrah - needs better supply

Scully - fittest at club

Watts - thought was good

Morton needs more that caffeine tablets.

He just needs to leave our club, we should trabe him while the rest of the league think he is actually capable of playing AFL.

He is pathetic!

Not sure when we started letting posters on here abuse players in such a disgusting nature.

Morton is a victim of playing that rubbish loose man in defense role. When the ball was there to be won, he won it, and he used it extremely well. He excels on the wing, and it says a lot about him that our line coaches need to fight to get him in their part of the ground. Some of the shite that is written on here makes my blood boil.

Use your inside voice next time you feel like unleashing that sort of rubbish.

My 3 word analysis:

Frawley- For Prime Minister!

Bartram was better than that. And Jones was not. Gave away a couple of stupid free kicks that cost goals.

Sylvia (not mentioned above). - Played good half.

Did not do much in the first half when it mattered, but got better.

You are kidding me arnt you??

When did he ever win the ball and use it well. He is an absolute liability.

And nearly everyone eles bags players like Miller, PJ and Newton, just because everyone one is in love with him, does not mean he can not be bagged when he playes terrible (which is quite often).

Really, really likes Macdonald and McKenzie games, went really hard, lots of contested footy. Moloney was most disappointing for me, even though he got injured, as a senior player he should of been one of the players standing up when we were getting killed. Bate was poor, could almost be dropped but probably wont be. Rivers starting to improve a little, Garland still a little untidy, Batram played one of his worst games. Frawley, Scully and Watts are improving every game and will be guns. I thought Bruce's form had turned, was starting to get his game right again after last week, but was back to his sloppy self this week :( Davey and Sylvia were both very good, Bennell and Jurrah showed glimpses and did what needed to be done. Morton was disappointing, but Bail was solid imo. Can't believe PJ's game, wd sir, Jamar was a bit down on usual but didn't lost to the galloping lamppost.

I thought Sylvia and Jones both played great second halves. Sylvia certainly seems to be more at home in the middle now than up forward. Jones was rubbish until probably a third of the way into the 3rd quarter where Bailey had a chat to him. After that he was very strong around the clearances and kicked a lovely goal.

Bartram I agree had a good game. Used the ball well within himself and I thought he did a good job on Ballantyne. The stats will say he kicked 4, but one was a push from Davey and some good acting, another a gift from Bruce and I'm not sure of the 3rd. The 4th was the game sealer and Bartram did lose him for a step there but at least had him pinned near the boundary.

Save and except for today, Bruce has been quite good in the past few weeks and I have been one of his biggest critics. But why on earth is he ever allowed to kick out from behinds. Twice in the last quarter when precision was required he kicked out, basically to see it come back over his head. Bruce not kicking in should be a non-negotiable.

Watts was better again this week - would have loved for him to kick the winning goal but he'll have pleanty more opportunities. He's better for the run - he wont get those sort of opportunities at Casey!

garland- made costly errors

bruce-never kick out

bate- cant win contests

but all in all a good week again, i think watts is showing really really good signs, and i have never ever ever ever seen him miss two relatively simple set shots, so im guessing both were very nervous kicks

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
