Absolute horse.

I can't figure that rule out. He didn't get him high, both players going for the ball.

Stiff Brent, very very stiff.

Brent Moloney, Melbourne, has been charged with a Level Two bumping or making forceful contact from front-on offence against Tom Logan, Port Adelaide, during the fourth quarter of the Round Nine match between Melbourne and Port Adelaide, played at TIO Stadium on Saturday May 22, 2010.

In summary, his five-year good record means he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 250 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has an existing five-year good record, reducing the sanction by 25 per cent to 187.50 points and a one-match sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 140.63 points and a one-match sanction.

Gys to debut?

What a laugh. Didn't get him high, turned the body ..

If the MRP doesn't have eyes, they certainly have an agenda.

What bull[censored]

Oh well, at least Gys will be able to debut and rack up 30 touches.

That is unbelievable. I'm actually in shock.

Didn't even get him high! Sylvia got his jaw broken and the guy got nothing. Beamer bumps a bloke, he's fine, then gets a week!

Not as bad as when he failed to touch Bartel in a bump and got three weeks, but still!

He should have waited for the ball to clear. Then got the Port player in a headlock, thrown him to the ground and would only have been up for a 3 k fine at the tribunal... weird system.

The Match Review Panel are Week by week , showing themselves more and more nefarious . Whilst I'm not going to become morbidly focused on the unfairness of this outcome it needs to be said that its manifestly shoody in evaluation by comparison to other transgressions.

Lets just look to teh silver lining and the opportunity the club and a player now gets.

Moloney got 1 week for being stupid, and he probably deserved it based on recent decisions. It's tough but I'm not surprised it happened. At least he gets a week off to freshen up

What a load of [censored]! i say take it to the tribunal and challenge the charge... anyone else agree?

Yes, I'd challenge it. Dispute the high contact part, seeing as he hit his shoulder.

Is the shoulder high contact?? Not fkn likely!!!

If he does go, he is a huge loss to the midfield. He has been terrific all year, and IMO would be close to winning our B&F.

So josh kennedy was not even cited for breaking a Jaw...Maloney gets a week for a "True" Hip & shoulder.....Are they on Drugs the MRP? That is just wrong.

Yep.

My case would be 'banana cake wheel barrow and avenue zinc squared test tube.'

He'll either get off or 4 weeks, reckon he'll get off with that argument.

Last time Beamer was suspended he didn't make any contact at all with Jimmy Bartel.

At least this time he made some contact with the other player's side so one week is fair enough, especially in light of the MRP's decision when Colin Sylvia's jaw was broken when the ball wasn't within 10 metres.

Mitch Farmer deliberately elbowed Michael Hurley in the back of the head and can get off with a reprimand!

The MRP is as relevent as tattslotto. I am so mad at this.

Even though there was certainly no malice, I think he was always going to get a week. Sucks the big ones but not suprising. Just more dissapointing that it is against the Cats when he is going to miss.

Up your's AFL! Your tribunal stinks!

Moloney get's 2 for which he should'nt have been reported. Very minimal contact and did'nt even get him high!

Davenport 1 game for a punch in the gut's which floored Garland. A joke! Worth 2!

And that other sniper Shulz get's a reprimand. Joke Joke! Worth 2!

Have a rest Malones! Take the 1 game and freshen up for Carlscum. Go Dee's!

Sorry to play devil's advocate, but I thought he deserved it. I don't care that he didn't necessarily hit him, but it was undisciplined and at a crucial point in the game. I thought he lead with his shoulder and it was a dangerous piece of play. That said, I've seen players do worse and get off.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
