if last weeks game is anything to go by 100+. if we come to play, who knows. But to we have the game plan?

Collingwood 189

Melbourne 27

Optimism.

We lose by 38 points. Whatever the actual scores. 38 is the number I see. Feeling we will kick 10 goals and however many points- therefore

Collingwood 98- 103

Melbourne 60-65

If we actually play someone as a permanent forward I think we're a chance to kick at least 3 in the first half.

Doing the math in comparison with last week we will then kick 3 x the amount that we kicked in the 2nd half.

1st Half:

3.18 = 36

2nd Half

21.21 = 147

Full Time:

24.39 = 183

Bit wayward but who knows.

Still comes up short to Collingwoods 189 though.

A better performance or another painful day?

Most likely another day spent in the Frank Grey Smith sinking beers GNF!! Lost you after half time last weekend. ;)

Yep, had to go for a sulk on the top deck by myself for a while. Get my head around it!

Anyway, I agree likely painful day = more beers in Frank Grey Smith. See you there!

If we don't turn up again, it could be 100+...

If we DO turn up, I expect a 35 point loss.

We won't play 4 quarters... That's a given. Either we'll get close, and fall away disheartened in the last 10 minutes allowing their mature and fit bodies to score freely in that time (the pies love to rub it in)... OR we'll get done soundly all day and kick a few junk time goals.

There WILL be whole slabs of game time where the wheels just fall off. And for us to have ANY chance, Scully and Trengove both have to have second games to remember.

If Sylvia plays - Demons by 21

If Sylvia misses - Pies by 93

will be a better performance this week..all I really want, apart from a WIN :) is to atleast show some passion and effort. Go Dees

We'll have all 18 players doing circle work in our defensive 50 from the 13th minute mark of the first quarter.

Was thinking about whether Bailey will circle the wagons or continue to be attacking? I think the latter.

Should be interesting.

I am Giving Dean Bailey one last chance to show us all he can coach-so whether we win or lose is not so important. (Yes once the Siren goes this theory gets Booted straight out the door i know)

But i want Dean & his coaches to turn out a team who is ready to absolutely tear up the MCG to the best of their ability for 4 quarters, that means Senior players will work harder than our kids, But all 22 will show their Best.

If this happens we may win or we may lose, But we will know if Dean Bailey can coach on Match Day & all of us, Players included can work away Proudly from the MCG knowing we are the Demons.

In one thread you claim you wanted to give him until Round 12 this year before addressing where he stands. In this one, you claim you're giving him this week as a 'last chance' to show that he can coach. You admit that we're still a work in progress yet seem to refuse to give it time.

I reckon most of the opinions here are a work in progress....or should that be regress.

I will give it time-But he has got to show us something this weekend 45 "CAN HE COACH"?. Here cometh the Moment, and yes after QB i would have his position fully reviewed

i think that's pretty fair, i can handle a loss this saturday-but i want to see some fight from on field & in the box. So yeah this Saturday i ask Bails to give us all a look at what he can really do.

Win or lose, one game of footy wont tell us if Bailey can coach. I wont be walking from the ground a proud demon and magically have the anwser. As Rip Curl Say.... The Search Continues

This is Baileys last chance to show something before I give up on him completely.

MCG game vs the Pies, and we aere coming off a disastrous loiss.

Its his job to fire the players up, and its his job to deliver a game plan that can get us a win which can turn this ship around.

If we get flogged in the same manner as lasr week, I hope he gets sacked.

I'm just looking forward to the game against Richmond when Watts, Blease, Garland, Gysberts and Maric are all playing and we can start to concentrate on our future

Sounds good and not beyond the realms of possibility.

One Game of footy can tell a lot. Are you telling me that he cannot improve that team on last weeks Performance?? That's is all i am asking.

Have you had days in your own job where you just have to perform-I bet you have.

Well in my eyes this is one of them for Dean Bailey-I am glad we are playing the Filth on saturday, as there is no bigger game to play during the season.

Its Totally up to Bails-if he coaches well then WE know. I don't understand why so many around here tip toe around-No wonder the club has been average for 46 years. Not enough is expected of it.

Collingwood 60-99, all I'm hoping for is some aggression. And maybe a bit of passion, but mainly aggression. As Dermie would say, "draw a line in the sand".

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

    BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

    Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
