what about getting fev?

if he came via the PSD...i would take him.

i hate fevs guts...but fact is...he's a goal kicking machine...

lot of pros and cons for getting him...what do people think?

he'd be a great target up forward from round 1.

he'd probably get us above our 92.5% min salary cap spend.

probably wouldn't be around when we pushed for a flag and he comes with baggage.

We would be silly not to take Fev if we got him for nothing in the PSD. WE have absolutely no reason to still near the bottom of the ladder anymore, even if we come bottom 4 next year, our first pick will be pick 10-15.

Why?

- Fev could quicken our rise to the top and we'd be playing finals by 2011

- Fev could take the focus away from Watts and Jurrah, allowing them time to actually develop their games without having the best defenders out muscle them each week

- We'd finnally have a fukin awesome AA player in our team.

- He could be kicking 80+ goals a season for the next 5 years

All this provided he agrees to stop drinking alcohol of coarse

Ridiculous thread.

Fev is in contract and its Carlton wanting to get rid of Fev not the other way around. thus he will never end up in the PSD.

Fev is a first class dick head. He does not care about his club nor the players who play in it. He is only interested in himself. No club wants this, thus no club wants him. Saying this Carlton will keep him without a trade. He is afterall the Coleman Medalist and Carlton cant make the finals without him...................... Problem is they cant win a premiership with him.

Happy I am not a Carlton supporter. Would much prefer our Davey problem than the Fev problem.

Doesn't matter, Cartlon won't get rid of Fevola. They won't win a premiership without him and they know it.

However, if we were ever to get a shot at him...pass.

Hmmmm.....fresh from the CFC website :

The Carlton Football Club has advised Brendan Fevola and his management that it will be working to secure a trade that will see Brendan join another club during next week's AFL Exchange Period.

The Club will make no further comment on the discussions on the future of Brendan Fevola or any other players until the Exchange Period next week and a final decision is made on his future.

No way is he gone.

This is a transparent Hamish McIntosh 'trade' designed to kick him up the #ss.

Carlton know they can't win a premiership without him there during Judds time, so have no option but to keep him.

They are just wasting everyone's time to kick him up the #ss.

Fev will always be bigger than the club.

Completely agree, trade will be "close", but they won't get it done.

And they won't end his contract and force him to the draft either.

Bulldogs would be lunatics not too chase him!

Dogs 2010 if they do!

Apparently the Bulldogs are struggling to find room in their salary cap to meet Brian Lake's demands. If this is the case, there's no way they could they fit Fevola in??

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
