Jeeeesus.

That's one hell of a squad! I like it though, injuries and tanking aside... I was hoping to see McKenzie and Bail this year at least once.

It's all coming up Millhouse!!!

Great for Greeny he can put his feet up and rest for a cracker in 2010.

Great news about the hopefully season ending injury to our best player ^_^ all in a good cause mind.

I think the Club knows what kind of a revolt would be on their hands if they win 5 games, so hopefully we wont win another game till St. Kilda in Round 22

Hope Mackenzie and Bail play.

Good luck boys.

Like to see I/C P.Johnson, Valenti, J.McKenzie, R.Bail.

Sorry, K.Cheney, N.Jetta, Wheels

Lets look at these guys, they could be our future, or i hate to say it future trade bait.

Miller and Newton back in!? Miller needs to play the game of his life or he is gone. Same goes for Newton

Grimey out?

Hope Mackenzie and Bail play, would love to see two debuttants.

Can't believe Green is injured, where's the Scaphoid?

Can't believe they'd play Miller before Robbo.

Key forward Brad Miller is back to take on the Swans, with injury forcing the Demons to make at least five changes.

Among the eight inclusions are two debutants in Queenslander Rohan Bail and Jordie McKenzie, who was today promoted from the rookie list this week.

Backs L.Dunn, M.Warnock, J.Frawley

Half backs B.Moloney, J.Rivers, C.Bruce

Centreline C.Bartram, J.McDonald, A.Davey

Half forwards J.Bennell, M.Newton, C.Morton

Forwards B.Miller, M.Bate, L.Jurrah

Followers S.Martin, R.Petterd, N.Jones

I/C From: P.Johnson, K.Cheney, N.Jetta, M.Whelan, S.Valenti, J.McKenzie, R.Bail.

TEAM CHANGES

In: Cheney, Johnson, Miller, Newton, Valenti, Whelan, McKenzie, Bail

Out: McLean (Knee), Jamar (Quad), Green (Scaphoid), Grimes (Back), Robertson

New: Jordie McKenzie (Geelong Falcons), Rohan Bail (Mt Gravatt)

I reckon that team will win. I particularly like the forward line though I am a little doubtful how many times the ball will actually get into our forward line!

Biggest tank team ever.

Yeah sure it's great, but remember, our biggest challenges in teams trying to out tank us will come against the tigers and Roos. I won't start getting excited until we are 3-16.

Looking at that makes me a little sad, but i know that it is a necessary evil. 1 step back to take 2 steps forward.

Onwards & Upwards.

Tank? Us?

However, i'm thrilled that we have a chance to see McKenzie and Bail play (hope they both make the cut). Delayed telecast on Sunday means I can actually watch this one! I am however a little nervous about Jurrah. He's the sort of guy who can win matches on his own. Perhaps it's getting to the point where he needs a rest? ;p

And next week when we change

In: Watts, Hughs

Out: McDonald (flu), Rivers (swollen groin)

It doen't look so much like tanking and leaves us with:

Backs L.Dunn, M.Warnock, J.Frawley

Half backs C. Bartram, K.Cheney, C.Bruce

Centreline B.Moloney, S.Valenti, A.Davey

I cant stand this TANK talk, but I hate to loose and I want the priority pick. So do it guys. I will just go to sleep until the end of round 22 and wake up knowing that at least the best 2 National draft kids and the best pre season pick will be lining up round 1 2010 along side Watts, Blease, Jurrah, Wonna, Morton, Grimes, Garland, Struass and co.

I am totally with you man, don't know whether i will even attend the last few games, as Barracking for a loss is just not right. But I want those 2 Draft Picks at melbourne as my Christmas Present.

I will get over the next 6 confusing weeks if we can start Winning Regulairly next year.

Apart from Green, I wouldn't have thought these changes are that strange. I think it's only because of the quantity of changes, remember they are only squads and we've named 7 on the bench.

Grimes - Back Issue, mentioned during the week

Jamar - Likewise, thigh issue, mentioned during the week

Mclean - Been struggling, people have been calling for him to be dropped for the past couple of months.

Robbo - Had a shocker last week, many would have been outraged had he kept his spot.

Green is the only one which is a suprise...

As for the ins.

Cheney - like for like for Grimes

Johnson - like for like for Jamar

Miller or Newton - like for like for Robbo

Valenti - like for like for Mclean (been called for for weeks)

Would expect Whelan, McKenzie or Bail will fight it out for the last spot with one of Newton or Miller also not to play (probably Miller).

I don't know why everyone's assuming tanking, I think they are legitimate changes ;)

Oh well, I tried to fight the good fight to keep our honour, but it's still my club - right or wrong - so "Go Sydney!"

Edit: I've surrendered in the face of overwhelming reality.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
