I really hate having a crack at the coach, but does everyone agree that this finally puts a LOT of pressure on Bailey? I refuse to accept that we are THIS bad with the players we have out there. I don't expect us to win, but I expect us to have a crack and we don't do that at all. It's as if guys like Bruce, McLean, Moloney etc. can run around without manning up and doing the team things and know that they will just get away with it.

Our game plan is unravelling before our eyes and it's finally being shown for what it truly is - pathetic.

I don't remember the last time that I felt this angry or frustrated watching us play, and that says something.

Woeful, seriously pathetic.

How the f%#* can so many players stand around and watch the Lions win contested ball after contested ball?

I know rebuilding is a slow, painful process, but how much longer do we have to put up with this [censored]!

And you can blame the coach all you like, but if players can't hit targets, and refuse to run hard and win the contested ball, no coach in the world can do anything positive with that.

We have completely lost the plot now!

If we stick with this game plan, we will be woeful for a VERY long time.

I'm actually rooting for us to get well and truly smashed now so SOMETHING happens, Bailey is in huge strife and there will be no hiding from it now.

It's taken me one and a half years to conclude that something is wrong with Bailey's game plan definitively, but now I believe it.

Bailey's 'fit player into gameplan' vs Knights' 'fit gameplan onto player' is a pretty depressing comparison.

In the last 3 weeks something just doesn't feel right - has the coach lost the players?? Is Chocco coming to Melbourne??

Chocco??? You've got to be kidding?

Disgrace.

F'ing sick of it.

Not even listening now, barely watching the live play.

Oh look, we had a crack down the centre since the game's over, and what do you know, we've taken a mark in the forward line.

I just want to cry. This is absolutely awful. And whenever they show Bailey in the box, he looks as bloody lost as I feel and the players seem.

its just pathetic to watch, l've smashed my remote and now can't turn it off        BAILEY has to go

Watts and Jurrah are our best finishers, so why are our shite senior finishers like Robbo, Bruce and Miller calling for the ball from them in scoring distance!

both your best 2 finishers have missed sodas

Hasn't taken you long to get the knives out....

The basic issue is that there is no attack at the ball.At every contest melbourne players first thought is the players around or body contact rather than getting your hands on the footy. It is going to be a very long road ahead from here.Too many light bodied players who cant hold a tackle or stand up in a contest.Jack grimes can play and is a shining light for the future. as I said before yesterday valenti should be straight in as he will add some aggression at the ball and in the contested possessions. But to be honest I do not know where they go from here.

Is there any chance we could get the ball and kick it to one of our own players? Is there any chance we could get the ball? Is there any chance we could make a tackle? Is there any chance?

Let's make that 14 quarters where we have scored less than 9 points in a quarter this year - that is 14 qtrs from a total of 51 qtrs

Yet another third quarter that is total insipid

Who is our mid field coach

Who is our forward coach

The only positive is no one can accuse us of tanking!!!!!!

This is the angriest I have been about our great team for a long long time

Posted

Bad to worse. Can't kick for goal, can't pass the ball 15 metres. Jones continuously getting caught holding the ball. PJ can't kick, no midfield. Nothing.

So a new coach will suddenly make us win the clearances, or the contested ball, or perhaps hit targets? I would like to see that happen.

When you have [censored], you play like [censored].

You have to be kidding. Skills aside, the run and hardness at a contested situation are governed by the coach. Make no doubt about it. A coach can at least make the team work hard and contest. The structures and skills may fail under pressure but the effort should be fairly consistent. Clarkson showed that at Hawthorn.

What the hell has happened in the last 3 weeks to change this much?

Even Col is ineffective tonight.
