strategies to beat geelong

to beat geelong we must apply pressure and stop the likes of ling, selwood, ablett, and corey put pettard on selwood, moloney the endurance on ling, bartram can take ablett and bruce on corey keeping them to under 12 possesions until half time we can have a chance or flood the backline which seemed to work when collingwood played them in the prelim and worked and has never seen the strategy since then.

I volunteer to stop Ling. At halftime I will buy a pie and push it into his face.

Swine Flu is the only answer....!

Maybe all Demon Supporters could just cough a lot towards Geelong players on sunday, starting with the warn ups, which may render them seriously ill for the 2nd Half...We then may have a slight chance to over power their score.

i'm thinking the answer isn't how to beat geelong but rather how to extract 2 points....

1. issue an act of terrorism warning on al jezzera. Get MCG evacuated and announce it a draw... (might end up in prison but atleast we don't lose too badly) or 2. create an act of god... earthquake, tornado, cyclone or other to hit on sunday and hence abandon game and we get 2 points. Or...... Bugger it thats all i've got can someone else come up with a sensible plan to get the game postponed until 2012

No, there is another oh jedi master..

Block the Geelong Freeway for 4 hours. Deny access to Avalon in case they think of flying once stuck in traffic. <_< :D

It's not about winning this week, It's all about keeping the damage to a minimum. It'll be good to see our guys go against the best in the land. Look forward to Robbo's return. RUUUSSSSSSSELLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!

hmmm, strategy....

It's a shame Wheatley isn't playing, everytime we get the ball we could have given it to him and he could have booted it out of the stadium - they would have run out of footballs eventually.

On a serious note I think we have to keep it simple and just be competitive as possible. Give our forwards the best chance possible by getting the ball down there quickly.

All we need to do is attempt to stick to our proccesses, becasue this is the best test we will get as to where our wekaness/Strengths are.

Forget the fancy stuff and just play our game. :o:rolleyes:

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
