from the Filth....

Liam Jurrah

No. 15

Born 23/9/88

188 cm

78 kg

Recruited from Yuendumu Magpies.

Jurrah is a player of rare talent. An amazing kick, fantastic hands and moves effortlessly. Has excellent skills. Recruited from Yuendumu Magpies in the Central Australian Football League.

Looks like a good talent - is there any reason why he was not taken in the ND?

Exciting pick :)

If we get sibasado too ill jump out of my seat

I've read somewhere he was 193cm and some at 188cm? Which is it

FRom BF

13 – Liam Jurrah – Nightcliff, September 23, 1988, 193cm, 78kg

The indigenous forward had a stint with Collingwood's VFL team this season and now looks set to be claimed as a rookie, with North Melbourne and Melbourne believed to be keen. Don't be surprised if he is claimed as an early rookie.(by Matt Burgan.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

It will be interesting to see who picks him up And how high he goes, Because it seems like alot of clubs are interested in him. I also didn't realise he was 193cm....

He is currently playing football for Nightcliff in the Northern Territory and is dominating. Very exciting player.

Liam Jurrah is a great, yet underrated, story of this PSD. Well done. He has played with the Collingwood VFL side, trained with North Melb and played football in Cent Aust FL and Nightcliff in NT.

I picked him for our rookie #1... oh well, was close. Still rather excited to have him down. Assuming he settles in there could be some magic added to the mix.

Was going to say, I'm wondering why there's been so much talk about this Sibosado guy, and not Jurrah.

Despite an impressive highlights reel, Sibosado's stats are pretty modest...

WJ, that article describes him as ruckman/forward, and yet the filth lists him at 188cm...can you shed any light on whether the measurement or description is incorrect?

Comfirmed as 193cm by Matt Burgen.

matt burgan has him at 193cm on the AFL website

10:29 Matt Burgan: Liam Jurrah is a 193cm forward. A good size

MFC official site has him listed as 188cm.

Matt Burgan says 193cm forward

Played with Collingwood in the VFL and up north, and is highly rated

“Given he was a late nomination for the National Draft, Liam got through to the Pre Season Draft after gaining special consideration from the AFL. It would have been surprising that his talents would not have been recognized if he was available in the National Draft.”

“We see Liam as a tall marking forward, who can compliment the selection of Jack Watts in the National Draft.”

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
