Leigh Brown could be a handy short term (preseason draft) acquisition to bolster our forwardline for 2 years. Not sure of his age.

We need to take the pressure off our youngsters, while our young forwards to be recruited develope their bodies confidance & game.

i've got an awesome idea.

He's 22 years old so fits out age bracket perfectly. He's got great kicking skills which is what we need.

He can supply drive off half back which is what we lack.

His name is Chris Johnson.

Are you a fan of Chris's or not, I can't hear your tone.

You've stated nothing re Leigh Brown short term.

This year the PSD is very dissapointing

From OUR rebuilding position its even worse

Looks like a gap filler draft to me

I wonder how CJ would fit into this thread if this was another club's website

Now the clubs have done 99% of their delisting, we can actually look at the best options in the PSD. We can invite players to train with us and try to find the best option for the club

There are a few tall forward options now that we might consider.

Gourdis has been delisted by Richmond, he's a real athlete but a lot of work needs to be done on his football. Thoolan is a huge kid delisted by Collingwood and he's still only 18, 19 early next year. He's 195cm & 95kg, and that was measured at the start of the year. Couple of young options that we could consider

Rather than pickign up a delisted player I'd be more inclined to go after the best kid playing in one of the state level competitions.

Cousins.

Hell YEH!

Will we still suck with Beny, but he will bring more media interest to the club and show the kids how to play hard and party hard!

No. ;) Could do much worse than Kane Tenace.

Massive selling point that one.

"Hey Kane, we don't think you are very good but selecting you was the only way we could keep Chris Bryan off the list."

"Now go introduce yourself to Brad Gotch - you're going to be seeing a lot of him. Hahahahaha!!!"

They probably could have left off the evil laugh at the end but AFL is an emotional game and it adds drama...and flavour.

Surely we could convince Clive Waterhouse out of retirement!!

Does he bleed red and blue, because we sure could use an O'Keefe type :o <_<

Very clever ;):P !!!

Get a room you two!

Visualising and...

You're both very attractive...

Moving on...

Haha...

I played with Laidlaw before he was drafted.

Gun player but has been ruined by injuries.

We will have enough mids after the draft but he is a Melbourne boy, 22 and if he is over his injuries he could be a handy pickup.

Very much doubt we will pick him up though...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
