  1. A perfect summary of shoulder injuries! I had an open shoulder reconstruction last year and my surgeon told me I could play/train for footy after 6 months. Around 3 or 4 weeks in a sling, gentle rehab for the first 6 weeks and ramp it up after that. After 4 months should have 80% movement and should start thinking about putting strength back into it. Right now he would be having the worst time, cause he wouldnt be able to move his arm out of a cradling position and believe me it sucks!
  2. Haha I would kill to have DeShawn Jackson in a Dees guernsey! That bloke is quick!
  3. 1 Aaron Davey 2 Brent Moloney 3 James Frawley 4 Cale Morton 5 Matthew Bate (I'm surprised not many people have mentioned him actually) 6 Cameron Bruce
  4. Makes me look embarrasing with my strike rate!
  5. Surely we could convince Clive Waterhouse out of retirement!!
  6. I'm really warming to Aaron Black at 11! He will not be available at 18 imo, and will be well worth the cost
  7. Davey isn't going anywhere! I have heard this, can only hope it is true!
  8. I hate this and am seriously worried with how the club is looking for the next 3 or 4 years! I know this is just my shock wearing in, but if Davey leaves that will be the worst thing that could happen to the supporter base..... We won't have members, no supporters, no money & no club.. I know this is fear mongering but I hope something is going on to sort out all the crap behind the scenes!! We can have all the draft picks in the world, but a team of 18 year olds cant win a flag
  9. Just our of curiosity, does anyone think I should I should apply for the Herald Sun?? All the best Col, I hope your recovery goes well and that you can still have a long career at the MFC!!!
  10. As the heading suggests, is Garland back in a moonboot after finding a new stress fracture on his foot? I heard this, but am not sure whether to believe it or not.. Not trying to scare anyone, merely asking!
  11. Nah a reco is a reco, there is no minor versions But there should also be no overlying problem in the future. Maric sounds like he suffers from hypermobile shoulders, which basically means they are a bit weaker than a normal persons. But an operation should fix this up.. The operation is still successful, but once you get to that stage, there are more chances for complications.. I would imagine that the club would be on top of it early and would've got it fixed earlier. As opposed to Jason Porplyzia last year who dislocated probably 9 times...
  12. Take it from me, as an expert on shoulder injuries.. They very rarely operate on shoulders that dislocate once or twice because even after 2 times there is still only a 20% chance it will come out again. The third time this figure goes up to about 35-40% and that is the best time to operate. An operation should take the percentage of re-injury to 5%. I'm currently through to week 7 of a 6 month recovery period, so ask me any questions re: shoulders if you have any questions
  13. I personally wouldnt mind seeing Hughes gets a game.. Has been getting ok numbers at Casey and is at an age where if we don't try him, he's finished. So we have nothing to lose by this selection.
  14. Didn't Whelan actually wear the t-shirt for a while as well??
  15. "Dees Hit The Jack-pot" "A pair of relative new comers to the AFL have steered the Melbourne Demons to a courageous 4 point win over arch nemesis Collingwood."
