  1. Sounds like a Clarkson 'renovator'. Maybe to replace Mitchell in coming years.
  2. maybe 'rubbed'... past tense? possibly damage has been dunn before now. He should be OK as a player, as long as he drops the beamer scharade. but we do need speed & gut runners.
  3. kidding, 'Donald' Dunn in the ruck.
  4. Swap him to the Saint'rs, plus 2017 2nd Rnd pick for Billy Longer.
  5. We would just pay the fees for the kids education whilst on that list. as long as the kid is holding his part of the contract, it carries on till draft time. Each club would have 3 pre-draft picks from they're own academies, including any father/sons. All other academy kids, or father sons not in the [3], would be able for other clubs to bid on, for the draft.
  6. Why not, he's good at what he does. he's the used little monster in all that mess; to Dr James 'H' Frankenstein's aspirations.
  7. Thompson on verge of new Adelaide deal http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-09-21/jacobs-wants-veteran-thompson-to-go-round-again
  8. I'm all for recruiting a project key defender now Hurley stayed with the scumbags.
  9. If worst case scenario, he can't get back to full fitness & speed, then I can imagine him in a coaching role of some sort, looking forward. He has all the hallmarks of a real leader, & has IMO the aptitude to make some sort of coach within the AFL.
  10. Grimes & Dunn to Tigers for Delidio.
  11. Gone. He needs a fresh start to rekindle his desire for top footy. He has always played when he wanted to. Or has to. Contract years. Whats changed?
  12. I wonder if the saints & dogs are hampered by etihad ? Anyway its great to see both having some success in recent times rather, than being doormats. I totally agree with you on tv timeslots & fixturings. This is where the Afl keep shooting the compettition in both feet at once, helping the powerful, stay powerful. enough !
  13. Well that's wrong. We already have father sons, as well & academy's,. so the draft on its own doesn't work, because you get clubs 'list management' going on, to get a preferred player.
  14. Your missing the point CB, the national draft still exists. But the first few top kids get to stay local. Its not like the old zone recruitment area, with no draft. I agree, it was lousy & unbalanced, but in today's schools environment, & the effort parents, teachers,, & clubs put into teaching kids its all very different. It just helps keep up to 3 top kids at home, per year, per club. This would also bring back the interstate clubs academy's back to the field, as they would also be restricted to just 3 free picks, before any bidding started for other academy kids.
  15. Certainly not that dread & blue print. I want the mentor way to help these kids stay on the road to winning flags. Talent is not enough, once talent has entered the building, its finished & then the mind starts the winning or losing ways. Leave your ego's at the door, & pick them up on the way out. cleaned & folded.
  16. I disagree strongly, there is far too much of interstate players wanting to leave to go home. This is bad for supporters who get attached, & it is for the clubs losing these star players. Each club should have an academy of scholarship kids from within their own designated zones which the clubs will develop & nurture. Each club should have 3 pre-draft selections per draft for their choice from their academy group. Father/Sons should be included in this 3 pre-draft selections. After the clubs have nominated their 3 pre-draft selections, any other academy kids should be open to being selected in the national draft on a bidding system, as we have now. This helps supporters, with local Hero's staying home, so the Tribalism returns back to the game. It keeps local Heros's local. And it encourages clubs to interact within their own zones. Bringing back a communal closeness to the AFL's clubs.
  17. Brown, Gold. Gold, Brown, whats da diff? Its the new age Hawks, and plastic bags are out. But I wonder if its delivered these days by carrier Goss Hawk, or flyin Drones.
  18. If/when we get our academy, we can do likewise. All clubs should have a junior academy from say 16 yr olds +. a schooling scholarship, & taught under elite coaching, but only playing school & Tac cup until say 17yrs minimum, then play VFL from 17yrs, if or when they're ready. But not allowing footy to get in the way of school studies up to Yr 12.
  19. More aggression at their footy, to intimidate oppos. And to instill a real hard self belief in themselves. They are the kids of the backwater crows after all. They have to get over that hurdle.
  20. which radio station KC, do you have a link, no tv today?
  21. It could, but also it could reverse back to old ways ingrained, without Clarko at the helm. The key denominator is Clarko himself, & the Hawthorn club itself. Its culture from its old players, to its supporter base, to keep things on the rails. Nope, we are better without any old boys who have failed at the Mfc in the past. Keep them away for changes sake. And our long term cultures sake. We need change of influences, away from the old club (recent), & from the Mcc. This is where soft envelops the Mfc.
