  1. The thing you don't see is the things he did in the tac. I haven't watched him since drafted. But I recall he has talent, some height & some x factors. Maybe it runs in his family, as his older brother is also talented, but maybe not as much, but also has not lived it yet?
  2. One could divide his highlights reel up into cutlets, ewe might say.
  3. No more front runners, please Dees. garlett accepted at this stage I suppose. We need hard at it runners, who will roll up the sleeves willingly. Only the tough need apply.
  4. Yep, our talent up in that age bracket gets thin after de-listings, and those getting closer to it. We do need to bring in some more maturity, but ones who can play, & lead. They don't have to be stars, but they must be high quality & tough.
  5. Has talents, but does he back them up with commitment ?
  6. hmmn, nup. Go get little Pickett. Then we can talk.
  7. as he exits from the deeper end. and the water level lowers that bit more.
  8. Thanks DC Cometti... millimetre centi-metre perfect. like a cork in the ocean, & other Cometti greats.

well indirectly maybe. Thru greater firmness levels, stamina & gut running, he maybe able to find a way to make more space, use the space to aid his kicking, get to more contests, & gather more telling possessions. So this part will help his skills, being fitter & physically stronger. The other part of it is experience in games, composure, & practicing his disposal skills until he drops. Or gets dropped.

    Thanks Jack

As I type this, 31 likes have been noted at the bottom of screen. I'll add my like to it as well, after giving my thanks to a great servant of the Melbourne Footy Club. Thanks Grimesy for all your effort & heartaches, given in the name of the Mfc & for its supporter base. I admire the way you have gone about it, from the time when you had ongoing back issues from the start really. Andf your courage honesty & loyalty to the cause & footy generally. You've been one of the bright lights in a time when unfortunately, mostly for yourself, we have gone astray off-field, & because of this, onfield as well. I hope you get another offer & continue to find yourself, & your footy form, which I believe you can. And you can be that important cog in someone else's wheel. Good Luck mate...
  11. I agree GtB. Can you imagine how it would be with Hogan, & Boyd in the pocket, with that Weird'man in the goal square ?
  12. Casey, until he works harder on contested ball. He'll learn, or he'll fail. Let him mature at the Demons, & see if we can help him grow. Watts his name has.
  13. Surely you gest'ate Saty, or you've got rocks in your insides? Not for your love or money. darling, no na no. Likes roasts, rosemary, & garlic.
  14. Like a bulldozer, he has a low centre of gravity, hurts opponents, & can launch in the air as well. I don't know what his vision & hands are like inside, but I'd like Us to find out. could he be a larger version of Rockliff ? We're short on for 26Yr olds. http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/tp-melbourne-demons?year=2016&sby=15

I don't think we would do that to him. I suspect they haven't had any offers he likes, so have made it easier all round for a team to take when they want to, as needs be. Even if rookied. So then he may be able to make some sort of deal with a club, if there is interest. Admitted I haven't tried to understand this free agency, much at all. Laws & rules offend me.
  16. We have to get a few of these guys, if they're not too costly & try them out. Sort of agree stmj. We have to recruit the ones we can, & then try to teach them to play with non negotiable's, as well. IF we get enough of them, we will find some who will do the 2 way running, & contest the footy hard. Ssome will fall by the wayside, but hey, welcome to the AFL. What chance a Dunn going to GWS, as a trade option? Do they need mature backs? ooh, I like the idea of that small forward who can go midfield. Another Pickett on the list??? awesome.
  17. Haha, big butts always play in front. try gettin around that. Apparently so was Tom Lynch in his young days, arrogant & cocky, ahead of himself. The AFL is a hard task master. Some learn slowly & the hard way. There will be more to it than that. Clubs don't let key people walk. Maybe he is not pro enough? Maybe they have one, on the line? just sayin?

That the players accidentally switched off at half time break, as if they got tired, suggests distraction away from the cause, which can only happen earlier in the week. Unless they were just physically gone, which I don't believe, as we went so hard in the first half. The lack of stopping, shutting them down, & tempo footy, suggests they're minds drifted off. With the minds goes the intensity. So the build up thru the week has a big psychological bearing on the prep' for the game, the subconscious attitude leading in.

They probably helped him earn another spot, by making him more available & early on. He is affordable to others to take the chance.

I think they were just trying to give him a taste, to see where he was up to ?& how he coped. Hoping he may do an 'Oliver'. He wasn't ready. He needs to build his tank further & his tenacity, etc, as he doesn't possess major weapons. So his style will be built up, like Mitchells was with the Swans? IMO nibblers improvements will come from his work off the playing field, in the Gym & on the roads.

I was wondering yesterday after Plapps statement on the Mfc website thanking everyone during the week, IF Roosy told them, all who are going, before he finished his last week. I thought that Plapp statement, sounded to me like bad timing, Re the VFL Grand Final. The boys seemed to come out flat after half time, after banging in earlier. Were they distracted, and did they take their minds eye off the ball. dis appointed.
  23. I've been wanting him on our list for the past couple of years. I thought he had some talent to explore. Now maybe he is mature enough? Don't know why he hasn't been rookied before now. I hope we do. They're is a bit of Brett Lovett about him in some way?
  24. ... and that we've now adopted the idea that winning in the VFL competition is good for us, all-round. The players of both clubs, the supporters, our respect gained as a club, the experience of winning, & the value for those who attend games to watch, to see genuine effort onfield. ... good for footy. its a WIN for footy & us.
