  1. My offer involves just a swap of 1st Rnd 2017 picks, elevating them a few spots in Rnd 1 of 2017 N/Draft, plus our 2nd Rnd pick. So in reality, its a 2nd Rnd pick + some. We just move back a little in the 1st Rnd of 2017. We can make that up in other dealings, next year.
  2. Yes I'd be interested in Jarrod Pickett, if we could negotiate an outcome. Maybe a swap of future 2017 1st Rnd draft picks, plus our future 2017 2nd Rnd pick ?
  3. Yep P27 to bummers, get it over & done with early. Then move on our other trade interests like Garland (if true) & P45 to Lions, for P29, or a player that suits us? or Dunn's trade. Dawes if any interest? I could imagine Dunn's speed mobility could interest the Doggies style of play. Even for depth as they are seen as In the Window.
  4. That site would make a very good shopping & entertainment precinct, with traditional market site with open air buskers/entertainers, underground parking & park-lands etc, to beautify & liven the West End. Lets hope they start plans to build another 2 boutique stadiums around Victoria. One down the SthEast corridor, & another at Footscray/NthMelb (Eastgate) Urgently. Once those plans are then actioned, they can start to sell the Etihad site for redevelopment. #edit: I've changed my thoughts on the original Eastgate site that is Sth-West of the North Melbourne station. I think It could maybe be better placed directly west from the end of Victoria Street, which is just a stones throw NthWest of that same North Melbourne station. This site will link in better with the New underground rail line happening at the moment which will run up Swanston Street & service RMIT, Melbourne Uni, & Flemington Racecource. It would require bit of State Government action to realign the rail lines of the Geelong, Adelaide, Sydney & Eltham lines. which could be done quite easily, relocating the majority of rail line work onto largely unused land, alongside the Moonee Ponds creek. This would allow the land just Sth-West of the North Melbourne station (Eastgate) to be tied into more useful developments aligned with the Docklands precinct. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/1-15+Laurens+St,+West+Melbourne+VIC+3003/@-37.8049322,144.9395758,501m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x6ad65d3f8a854005:0xb5138100c8cce843!8m2!3d-37.8049343!4d144.9406701
  5. P26, a bit of payback to the AFL, for they're help over the past 3 season. Now they're focus will be on the bummers to make sure they aren't sent into a smokin' spiral dive. IMO this is why so many players have not escaped the clutches at bummerland.
  6. This is exactly the issue that has caused our problems. Not being brave enough (too conservative) to stand alone, & do IT our way. We are forever in the shadows of the Mcc. And don't they love it. They have all they want, summer & winter. Win or lose, all the same to them. It's just entertainment for they're paying patrons, & keeping the carpets wearing. Claim the replacements on tax.
  7. Lol. Well, a mask might help for starters. Following from they're, I think Bbo might take the lead.
  8. The go home factor is getting stronger IMO, & in times of upheavel, it will continue to grow that way. People do like to return to they're roots.
  9. And so they should. Father sons should be Pre-Draft, as they were originally. Free at the cost of a list spot. Not for dealing & exploitation. That Geography is easy. First family home suburb, at the time of conception. if they all want to shift to Tullamarine, let them. Others will take the places.
  10. I see. Thats the way the zone map was printed as well. I couldn't believe that the Hawks had so much of East Gippsland??? And of the north of NT. I thought the Sainters would have had the Mornington Peninsular.? We still should be looking at much younger kids than the TAC cup Stingrays. We should be monitoring & teaching kids from 14Yrs of age. Well before the Stingrays clamp eyes on them.
  11. too expensive a risk.
  12. Exactly. it gives reason to develop your zones from grassroots, if you get first dibs on the best you can grow them. But only One Pre-Draft pick each club, isn't enough. When now we have this bidding system on father/sons, within the draft. But father/sons should not be in the draft at all. They should get a direct passage to they're fathers club, if that club has the list spots available & they want the F/S player. Regarding Pre-Draft academy choices, it's my reckoning that we should get about 2 Pre-Draft selections for our zoned academy players per year, but the father/sons should also come through this academy system as well, so they can also get that special tuition from the time they are 16Yrs of age. This is why I arrived at the number of 3 Pre-Draft selections, from our zones academy.
  13. Only at this moment. It can crash anytime it needs to. Sell high. If we can.
  14. The media & stardom can alter a persons perception, & they can lose sense of who & where they are. Similarly, this club needs a base away from 'the Starlight of the 'G'. It also alters peoples perceptions. Both need a place to get they're feet firmly entrenched in the sand & get grounded again.
  15. We already are > https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Edinburgh+Gardens/@-37.8187113,144.9969371,16029m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xf0456760531e920!8m2!3d-37.7874987!4d144.9831612 the Mcg is North of the Yarra.
  16. We were not born out of a stadium. The stadium was born out of Us. I believe that the game was played in the fields where nowadays, a stadium has since grown. On our patch. And gradually the club has been fenced in, & fenced off from many supporters. So the locals, who were local residents, had easy access to the tigers, pies, bloods, the lions up hoddle street way. And the saints down at the junction. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Edinburgh+Gardens/@-37.8187113,144.9969371,16029m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xf0456760531e920!8m2!3d-37.7874987!4d144.9831612
  17. I absolutely agree Of. Its like as a club, we don't have a heart, so all the supporters try to make up for it. Home is where the heart is. The koori people know this too well. It's their spiritual heart. It's the place they understand/love, & it binds all they're culture's together, out of respect for it. We so need a home base, away from the 'G'.

  19. Jenkins, or you just Joshin?
  20. motlop isn't in rednblue, so we should add all of them we can. thats it in a nutshell.
  21. succession planning bing181 yes he does, the ones he rights for himself HF. He doesn't want to face footy retirement.
  22. yes but the stingrays are but a small club only a small part of that whole area. Are you saying you want stingrays to do all the work, & we will just cherry pick when they're 17yrs old? I'm suggesting we keep tabs on our whole zone, & of the kids once they become teenagers. Once they then become 15yr olds, we start to give the better ones special tuition in school holidays. Then the ones who develop, we select the best of them for our academy, which I think should start in the kids 16th yr. So they get a scholarship & special skills training etc. Once they're of draft-able age, we should be able to take up to 3 a year, Pre draft (no bidding) . Inclusive of father sons. After the 3 Pre draft picks, the draft should take place as it is now, with those not selected as Pre draft selections, should go into the bidding system, to ascertain they're draft value. We could match those bids, or choose not to.
  23. Middle name's Martin, apparently. congrats Nathan & Jerri. Best of health to you all. I wonder if they're planning on a girl ? Brandy?
  24. Worse, Lamumba will have a dip. Maybe make the wrong choice, but he will go in. So he puts in. And hates to be a let down. Some don't care enough about team.
  25. absolutely DubDee. Motlop is a very big NO from me. I've never been convinced by Garlett & now after a new contract, he gone missing in action. We do not want 2 types of soft fruit in our barrel.
