  1. I don't think its next year that Alistair is looking toward or hoping to contend for, but 2018 & on. GWS has worried some power clubs with their rise & form. Both the Cats & Hawks have bitten the bullet, in order to reshape themselves looking forward, to try to match it with the Giants. I think the Hawks will fall a tad next year, with all the changes.
  2. Nope, just the cap. And you know, 'she can leave the cap on'
  3. Its off the ground we want him to be to do his best, winning hit outs & taking marks. just sayin, rj
  4. This may be what's been keeping things quiet 'ish on the home front ? There is not much to think through, Re culture or player types. Because we are too distant to have enough facts about individuals to think through. This is Demon fantasy time of year, & to have fun, in lieu of the seasons past & future. So you may want to Rethink through your assumptions on Rockliff & other posters, unless you know all the background of Rockies issues? Yes it does, a fully fledged Finals player & multiple premierships winning player.. it makes every sense in the AFL world. Winning Finals/Premierships experience, & he has that "attitude", that makes teammates stand up. it is what we as a club lack from our past to present... that atti-tude to take it on, & win... that inner fire that keeps getting quenched at Mfc. young Jack V has brought some from his time at Hawthorne land. keep those fires burning.
  5. He's never fully committed imv. Watts was the same, but has changed this season. i don't think Jeffy has ever given his footy 100%, he shy's off, & that is a sign that the person has bigger commitments, than the game. self. Self sacrifice is 100% commitment. to the effort. take the hit for the team.
  6. Then he could make another Moonsh. For all our sakes Billy, don't be a hero !
  7. I don't think Jeffy has bought fully in. Rocliff maybe just inexperienced in what leadership is? He can learn. He is definitely worth thinking about, but not for a 1st Rnd pick. As redleg said, a trade & a pick.
  8. its good for his coaching career to escape the fish bowl of afl melbourne. he'll be there for 5 yrs imo.
  9. Or pick 19-20 (2016), + our 2017 1st Rnd Pick, for Fyfe? I'm waiting for a curve ball to arrive?
  10. is he, OK.
  11. isn't Dunn out of contract? so why would he eat our salary cap next year? Just give him a 'nudge', & whisper gently into his shell like. He'll notice.
  12. ... or something else has shown itself since... next years pick is the go. and we can throw in dunn for 2016.
  13. We could use him for 2 yrs, on a 1+1 ? common KJ, you'll thaw.
  14. better than under Eddies Hat dome.
  15. Ed trying to shore up his reputation, hanging everything on this, he's gambling, going All In. outcome = a pair of deuces
  16. I don't know what we've got to give, but I'm hoping we could get back into somewhere from late 1st Rnd into the 2nd Rnd.
  17. I'm interested in getting picks around 15+ through the 2nd Rnd &into 3rd Rnd, but not to give away our 2017 1st Rnd Pick to do that.
  18. Well if they build a boutique stadium at Dandenong Sth, then we would get that chance to do just that.
  19. Rockliff, No. He should leave & go to the Hawks as an in/under.. I think they could settle him down under Clark. We on the other hand should take Mitchell out of the Hawks thinking. The Hawks really need Rockliff.
  20. Exactly but lets not try to improve IT; lets build boutique stadiums around the place to better serve communities. And bring those further away geographically into contact with afl footy.
  21. who cares what eddie will do.
  22. to play with a team that like him?
  23. He's there to teach, nurture & develop that list, I think. Then maybe he will step aside into a similar role he had with the Hawks, as they get a more high profile coach to take the lead on matchdays. Maybe even Clarkson?
