  1. such writings about other posts, & how that will hurt young minds. my they are precious young things. Or is it that the fragility is actually elsewhere, on the forum?
  2. maybe he's a natural forward in disguise? those kicks score regularly.
  3. I also agree with these ideas. If either a Hurley deal, or others like Hoskin Elliot & Tomlinson, I don't think we can go to far wrong. Or stay in the 2017 draft. I think we are in a good position now, to make deals, or keep the picks to use. But we do need some more maturity into our still young list age average. but only quality. the season isn't finished yet, let alone end of season trips.
  4. Would you give up the 2017 1st rnd pick for both Hurley & Hibberd, if they chose to come over ?

    Alex Rance

Agreed jackaub, let the rancid one go elsewhere. We're on the right path sniffing out Hurley.
  6. We have had a list of names signing on in the last 6 weeks or so. All the must stays. I wonder if this can be thought of as possibly a signal that we signed a big name, prior to this period, on agreement ? Possibly once that deal was agreed to, the budget was set, & allowed us to go on signing all the regulars ?
  7. And the perfect time of the year now, for him to start developing the new skill-sets at Casey, before his next pre season.
  8. Actually chook, the $500,000 of the salary cap he's eating up, may come in handy down the track in 2018 for the, elite coup', we want to come in. Maybe we should keep dawesy till the end of 2017, to hold some salary cap space for that time? we should have some space up our sleeves at this time, even if Eliza Beth Hurley & her man come over. Surely we can find cap space for this year, easy enough?
  9. Develop yes, but to learn a new role, maybe not ?
  10. tough, calls are made to start the future growing. we don't need him in place of garlett or petracca romance would suggest he should finish, down at Cat-land.
  11. and, we may be holding him back from finding his mojo again.
  12. If I were GCS, I would trade gablett, & keep Prestia & offer him the captaincy.
  13. Keep Pedo, & rookie Dawes, if he's so good around the club-rooms.

    Brexit

Brexit. TPP. Why don't we all just form a family collective across Victoria, giving us great buying power as a unit. We can get our electricity cheap by volume, & cheap water, cheap groceries, cheap fresh produce; heck we'll have our own warehouse & distribution. we won't need a TPP, or shares on the stock market. Come to think of it, we won't need retailers, or any of those 'middle people', taking the cream on everything.
  16. difference. the difference was the lousy soft culture we had at the time at Melbourne, near enough. & the poor recruiting/development. We are now a different & growing club, with different leaders around the place.
  17. As a part of a deal, involving TommyMac? So for me, it would be hopefully player & a pick. Which we could use, on a tall who can play back, & kick. And saving some Cap room. I wouldn't be against that.
  18. Do the Swans have $700,000pa on TMacs table? If so, would we look at Tom Mitchell or Zak Jones as a trade?
  19. In my mind the Indigenous round has been the most important within this country, & beneficial to indigenous people. And I do like the new initiative for the Womens game.
  20. I agree SJ. No doubt 'the honest feedback' the players are now giving themselves, is finally starting to have a positive effect on the players outputs. An honest environment is a happy & very healthy environment. A place where one can produce, & create. And this news on re signing On, is very welcome, almost as welcome, as witnessing Jack finally coming of AFL 'vintage'.
  21. the dogs have been building for 10 years. on & off field. solid club nowadays.
  22. I agree. I see the same things, I think, as Roosy. The raw talents.
  23. The need for speed, or rather, run, agility & good pace, across the park. They don't have to be Gary Rohan, who is off the table now IMO.
  24. He's not yet 23yrs. 193cms & still only 94kgs. He could easily fill out & mature. If he has the skills to play wing & flank he's worth a gamble. Maybe even mids?
