  1. 2013...Darcy Cameron is an agile ruckman who is also a good marking target around the ground. Darcy Cameron has moved forward for Claremont in 2015. Picture: Matthew Poon I would hope he can become more aggressive, for his footy's sake. Worth consideration based on his pace & skills. But I'd hope he gets some ruggedness into his persona to play as a big man.
  2. Yes, he never should have been made captain at such a young age. So he did what we wanted him to do. We thru him to the wolves. And just maybe we caused his threatening injury as well. Yes we owe him, just as he owes us, to give his all.
  3. Pace & skill, yes Redleg, but not first. Its the contested footy players with vigor are what the game is based on, then after the contested culture is proudly ingrained into team ethos, add the cream into the mix. But the cream has to learn to be contested footy as well. Now is the time for our list to gain more pace & skill.
  4. Keep your money PF, don't go out and buy those jousting sticks, you'll lose ya money. I'll back Trenners to give his all, and that's good enough. We can't ask more than a player giving everything.
  5. There, right there is your problem Picket. You mind is in the past, instead of the possibilities to come.
  6. We owe each other. We owe him a decent chance to recover, based on what he sacrificed for us when we called on him. And based on his character. His footy smarts, & his work ethic to go beyond. Great clubs are based around great people. Trenners is a person you want around your club.
  7. Raise your sights PF. Your sights are too low, & cannot see through the congestion, to 2017 - 2018.
  8. I've forgotten, what did we pay for the right to draft Jesse?
  9. Thats true as well, lately. Good to see no evil, hear no evil, until the goods are produced. * oh, do you mean onfield we don't leak, anymore. Melbouurne used to have a very bad case of incontinence, onfield.
  10. I think that's code for: we aren't a destination club, so we go the youth pathway.
  11. But we can in the AFL, have the sole right to play it on game day.
  12. Its not the picks gotten so much as the management from the start, that had the Giants in good stead. Sheedy Sheedy Sheedy. Getting minds right for competitive footy. Selection of talent of course, but again, the types of mental attitudes to contested ball etc. The suns flew too close to our red&blue print for sure, & got burned.
  13. Wattsy is growing self belief from the ruckwork, which 2 seasons ago he would have been too timid for. So he may get sore, but he grows more as a man. It's not the long term plan I'm sure, but its helping him realise what he can do.
  14. I like the idea of the bye to freshen the players after a rigorous H&A season. It is the perfect time to have one State of Origin game [WA v Northerners], & the females game. Also the Prelim weekend is a good time for the main State of Origin game [Vics v SA].
  15. Surprised she has to travel all the way, to Bunnings no less, to earn a sau-sage. silly sausage, doc
  16. Geelong have played a little above themselves, the 2nd half of year, imo. And sounds like they got tired. The swans aren't there yet, either.
  17. What is the point of having a final 8, if the teams below 5th have no chance of going thru. It's ridiculous, the way it has been for so long now.
  18. Playing cards are best held close to chest C13. The Cats had a rash last night, all over them, it was.
  19. Who says he can't play forward, he's just young & putting on weight. A good mark, great leap, & is mobile. He can learn. He is behind some senior rucks there, he would be number 2 with us.
  20. It would be great to see the Wiz back at the 'G' watching his boy lineup in Red'n'Blue.
