  1. Thanks DDave. Trenners will surely enjoy the week off to recover his ails. Spencer, Trenn, & Nibbles will no doubt respond next match, after a rare match playing in September air. fancy dat' ! Grime'y is surely playing what sounds to me his best footy of his career. I wonder IF a change of thought may occur? And Dunny, bullet passes? to hit up teammates upfield. Where has this been Mr Dunn ? work rate !!!

Yes, but you don't de-list your 2nd starting ruck, prior to proving his understudy.
  3. Isn't it great to see our boys having fun, enjoying they're footy, working their butts off defensively then rebounding, & the up-shot; Winning, a big part of the recipe for success. We're on the fringe of being a club again, baby steps to the threshold. Knock at that door, and hopefully we'll step through it.
  4. I don't think we need him. And concerned about metaphorical finger pointers.
  5. Yes, but it hasn't done them any good tho thus far. They still went down like greasy cold pies. And we still continue to gain momentum as we grow. Its all about the swings & sliding Dawes.
  6. Its always cloke & dagger with them. He's like a lost dog, still trying to sniff his way home, after getting lost en-roote.

From > Dunn, Terlich, King, Dawes, Newton, JK-H, Grimes,
  8. The nibbler will get his chances next year. He shouldn't go anywhere. They are teaching him multi roles adding to his skills. To me, he is a must keep.
  9. ??? Just the sought of thing to make our players take this game in a comfortable mindset, & lose. And at Casey as well So the doggies will come switched on for sure. The Doggies have great fighting spirit at their club now. Our team is full of talented players for this level, & youngsters who know no better, but in the same breath, its full of players who like things on their terms, & perennial losers a lot of them. Dunn, Grimes, Garland, Spencer, Kennedy, Terlich, all have lost far more games, than they have been involved in winning them. This is a danger game for us.
  10. And it may bring a final, & than drop out of the scene. We need proven hard heads that want to win at all costs. And keep the kids away from they're own bath water. We do not wanna be another GGCsuns.
  11. Yes, we need more smarts around the middle. and another hard runner.
  12. And interim before King shows any maturity. We so need that forward/follower. So Vardy, or whoever, we need one. Not now with Viney Oli etc. We need speed, quick, skilled, clean pace, in our younger brigade. Tommy can go to Saints or Hawks or Blues.
  13. We need a hell of a lot more than a matchwinner. Fyfe type. All we have currently are names, hollow names, who've done stuff all.
  14. I think the issue is not age, but quality leadership. I don't think Dunn & Garland deliver.
  15. One year of Scotty Thompson playing won't hurt us. in 2 - 3 years time our maturity void in the 26yr, & 24 yr brackets won't be a concern. But right now it is. And the leadership at the top end is really low for us. So One year as player & on-field generaling, along with Jonesy, would be very handy in the transition away from Roosy. Our list is full of kids.
  16. McCartney could get the best out of fringe players from GWS, Swans, Crows, Saints, even Cats, Dogs. I hear he could even put rhythm back in some Blues. lets not just sift the tiges.
  17. I would say we may look at de-listed aged rucks who would like to go round again, and a young ruck around 22-23 yrs, who is looking for opportunities. If Vardy gets the shove, that'll be interesting?
  18. He is mobile & a great mark. The only way I could see this working is if he was rookied & played at Casey as a follower/ruck only. Not as a forward, If he showed promise, then maybe worth keeping on to ruck. But I doubt it now after a non existent AFL profile.
  19. I think Goody, & the footy dept will know if Thomo can get thru games, But remember, he will be able to play both at the Dees & at Casey if needs be. We are still teaching kids in both teams. So his on-field guidance will be beneficial for both. Our recent growth in young players, & in terms of our new culture are not set in concrete, yet. They are fragile. Maturity stability & experience are whats needed, & to maintain the same platform that is bringing us the new positive growth.
  20. 1. to play St.Kilda up in the Northern Territory 2 Essendon round 1 Friday night (saw that Essendon was proposing this. I think it'd be an awesome way to start 2017 with a win at the G on a Friday night)
  21. No, but he can make us better thru his knowledge & guidance. Its leadership we lack the most, followed by speed & skills. In the light of our most recent game at Catland, we do not want to regress next year without Roosy, So I would say that more mature experienced leadership to help support the players, is crucial.
  22. Footy is not all about the kids, like life. Make it all about the kids & spoil them. They must earn the rewards. Goody must want the Thomo in, as confidant, & to help general the troops onfield, Both in the red & blue & also at Casey. He will see close up whats happening on field with the players, as Goody will need to make decisions at the end of 2017, re list management. Thomo would be great to pass on tips & help the leaders onfield.
