Very UNJUST assessment of Cameron Bruce. 33 possessions plus 5 effective tackles deserves more than your sarcastic rating. Green comment also stupid and unwarranted. You had a dirty day Joeboy. Normally you make reasonably sensible and fair comments. I guess if the players can be out of sorts so can the posters. Keep trying.

A little unfair on me I believe .

If you check my next post ( Votes )I gave Bruce second top marks , and Green 4th best .

Missed the start - why was Garland out? Injured?

I thought Sylvia improved towards the end, but I was only listening.

Apparantly Jamar started well... can't decide whether to be happy or not.

Wonaeamirri- WORTH BUYING A 2009 MEMBERSHIP JUST TO SEE THIS KID DEVELOP!

Bad result, Like Cam Bruce's efforts, sylvia did some nice bits and pieces. Still far from winning a game the poor ol dees.

Time to start taking the axe to the list. Making small shitty changes is not working. Time to chop 4, and bring in a fresh 4 blokes who actually want to play. Sure we may lose, but in our write ups it will give us something to look forward to, instead of underperforming vets.

If the "game plan" is too hard to teach, kids should be the first to develop, they are not having to relearn anything, everyhting is new to them at this level. So throw in the quick learners!

I would love to see the percentage of possessions that hit the target, I reckon a lot of those with high possessions would have average % of targets hit.

Totally unfair on Carroll, Rivers..actually, when I look at your list this would have to be your worst 3 word analysis ever.

Hard to believe that I am a long time Melbourne supporter coming onto this site to subject myself to some of the biggest load of drivel on the internet. Sometimes I truly wonder who actually watches the game and just how many people allow their player prejudices to cloud any realistic evaluation of their performance. You don't have to be a genius to see that the team is struggling. Constructive criticism and well balanced comments based on substantiated evidence would go a long way to promoting rational comment. I too can see that there are many deficiencies but subjective, irrational, puerile and frivolous self serving comments do not advance any argument.

Bailey has been in the job for five minutes. He inherited many players on the wrong end of their careers and he must now find a way to carve out a new dynasty for our club. It aint going to be easy and it may not be pretty but I for one am prepared to give him a go and see what he can do. A player who has a few good games doesn't make him a gun or a champion. Neither does a few bad games make a player a dud. Confidence can quickly change average performances into match winning ones. I too long for success which is sustainable.

Being an arm chair critic is the easiest job in the world. Picking faults is an obsession for some.

Good post.

I think the problem you have come across, "fiddledeedee", is that many of us Demonland posters are in similar form to our on-field side. That is, we are a dis-spirited rabble, unable to read the play, low on confidence and unable to apply any positive pressure.

Perhaps you can be our new coach?

yer , fair comment mate, but doesn't it get a bit tedious watching the same people week after week making the same mistakes and still getting a game? i can name 6-8 players who aren't going to take us to the next level but continue to get a game and we keep getting flogged. i'm starting to think Bailey might have been the cheapest option.

Frawley - held up under ridiculous pressure. Cost us goals late (9 word analysis)

Green - thought his game was average

Jamar - best game but says nothing

Jones - improved disposal and ran hard

McDonald -wiped out by Black

McLean - worked hard off the ball but little impact

Miller - OK second half, invisible 1st half

Moloney - better disposal

Morton - quiet

Rivers - battled the onslaught

Robertson - crap and rubbish delivery

Sylvia - good 2nd half

Warnock - good for you (did his job and hit targets)

Wheatley - one good kickout

Bruce - was actually trying

Still cant kick and allergic to contact..

His first quarter today was terrible and then proceeded to collect some junk time possies out on the boundary line as per usual...

Drop Robbo to Sandy..... Beginning to look washed up!!!!!!

My assessment - from being at the game and wishing i wasn't

Bartram - Needs a rocket

Bell - Shocking, shocking shocking

Bruce - Tried, no help

White - Needs a holiday

Wonaeamirri - What a goal

Bell - Drop this bloke (just isn't up to it at the moment)

Bruce - Stepped up well

Carroll - A workman effort

Davey - Not really seen

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
