I am predicting we are going to see something amazing tomorrow

We will see, with our own eyes, the arrival of the next MFC champion

We have waited long enough. Flower, Stynes, Lyon... In my lifetime, the club has produced three true champions, who all played a long time ago. The last 10 years have been a joke. Aside Neitz, we havent had anyone close to being an icon of the game, a champion that commands the respect of the footy world. We have had some flashes in the pan, ie. Woewodin, Farmer, McLean, Yze, White etc... who promised to reach lofty heights but never made it.

Cale Morton is different. Have you seen this kid with a footy in his hands? Have you seen the way he moves?

Its like watching Hird/Lyon/Skilton/Barrassi all rolled into one. He is a true Roll Royce. Excpetional skills. Perfect footy brain. A footballer. A true footballer who happens to also have an abundance of talent.

Tomorrow, the MCG is Cale's stage. Watch the maestro weave his magic and do things that belie his 18 years, and his beanpole frame.

At last, the saviour has arrived.

Can you also tell your mate "the Kid" to finally pull his finger out and register that 5 goal/10 mark breakout performance we've all been waiting for.

But yeah agree with Morton, the guy is silk and will hopefully be our replacement for Travis Johnstone - with the added bonus of consistency!!

Outstanding enthusiasm Yze Magic.

Can see shades of Hird & Lyon...don't quite see the Skilton / Barassi likeness just yet.

Is it possible that Yze Magic is currently being affected by some Prozac Magic?

Yeh seriously YM, shutup. none of the players you've 'claimed' have turned out the way you predicted. Sylvia has done jackall, jones is not the next greg williams, mclean is still not captain and didn't win last years brownlow, bate is not the best rednut in the afl, newton has not surpassed lance franklin, and frawley isn't looking like being the next darren glass.

what about your boyfriend colin sylvia who was supposed to be the next garry ablet as u said?? seriously i have great respect for you but this is too far much pressure on the poor kid! give it a rest mate and just let him play his game first before he starts pulling out tricks.

you have done this to mclean and sylvia!! come off it!

We shouldn't be expecting great heights from Morton after just 3 senior games. Sure, from what we've seen he may be a star, but don't expect him to start dominating games for a few years.

Don't worry about Brownlows at this stage, Morton hasn't even got a Rising Star nomination yet.. which I hope he'll pick up in the next few weeks (although I must admit there are plenty of worthy nominations out there)

Ok YM. Let me get one thing straight. David Neitz is one of the great MFC players. He is in the same mould as Flower, Stynes and Lyon. Neita is a different player, but my god he has been fantastic over the eyars and deserves every bit as much credit as our greats from years past.

And YM, Morton is going to be SPECIAL. Just don't expect him to be too much too soon. We had those expectations the year Sylvia and McLean were drafted, and those two are still developing (they may not reach the heights of Stynes and company, but I can still see a bright future for both at this club)

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
