I wouldn't say Rivers was huge. Just ripped. Low body fat makes anyone look alot bigger. Still, better he be ripped then flabby.

Cheers DD!

What's with the two bandages on Rivers' index fingers? (how I managed to focus on his fingers, I'm not sure  )

truly half expected you to still be out on the floor !! pmsl !!!:rolleyes:

A few first impressions from those photos:

Jack Grimes - this guy's living the dream playing for the team he supported growing up from the word go in his AFL career. He has a steely look of determination that says "superstar in the making" to me. This kid will be our Nathan Buckley I reckon.

Cale Morton - all arms and legs at this stage but he's got some frame to build on you can just tell. If he does the right things in the gym this kid could turn into anything. I'm hoping he becomes a super mobile and strong CHF type (kind of like a cross between Reiwoldt and Carey).

Stefan Martin - check out the size of those mits around the footy. Those over there in Melbourne who've watched him for Sandy are obviously better qualified to comment on this guy's prospects in the AFL (I live in Perth). He's got good size about him though.

The future looks bright.

Thanks DD

Great to see some fresh faces running around

Rivers - Ripped to the max

The most exciting vision there for mine is Brock.

A very steely look of determination & super pumped arms.

Can't wait for 2008, lets just stay Spoon favourites right now & enjoy the ride going forward

Merry X-Mas ;)

He looks magnificent.

They are all looking good and isnt it a delight to see Beamer running!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but the fact that there is a photo of Moloney running means nothing. He has a groin related injury which means that he can most likely run in straight lines. If i see a video of him running side to side at 100% around cones..then im sold

Everybody looks good and ready

Every team says this during preseason. Fact is we have players aka Bartram still struggeling. Dont get too excited

Hey dont steal our hope its all we got!! well that and blind optimism

im more worried about clint bartram after what ppl have been saying about him over at 'ology!!

What have they been saying?

I actually thought brock looked extremely toned, especially after seeing the next pic of green, Rivs does look a little bigger but not much.

Agree with leucopogon, morton looks like he will fill out nicely.

What have they been saying?

That he has another injury concern, unrelated to his ankle. Nobody knows what exactly, or if they do, they are not willing to divulge.

He came back from his ankle injury last year and then hurt his knee. I think you will find it is his knee that is the issue.

punching the ball maybe? im not sure

rivers in great nick though

beamer running freely looks good too

need Beamer up and running all year.

The more I think about it the more I see Beamer as a HUGE key to any success we have next year. When he's not hurt, he's more than just a gutsy inside midfielder. He's the guy that can really hurt oppositions. So many other players do their jobs but don't hurt on the scoreboard... Also, he's been a non-event for about 3 seasons now... No-one will see him coming...

Its actually two and if he cant make headway this year his career is in doubt. He has been a long time out of the game.

He had a very good first year with us but he needs to concentrate on his decision making and his defensive skills when he does not have the ball.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
