DD an appropriately immature response.

Whatever you think of AD he was probably the one who allowed the Demons to survive in 2003/2004 when we were broke. He has been a huge supporter of the 16 team competition and has been in charge of the AFL while it has supported our recovery.

You can look at the small issues and get your back up. I'll look at the big picture, I'll look at the deals he struck with the TV stations that have provided enough money for the whole league to survive and I'll be thankful. And next year when I look at our team on the park I'll recognize the contribution AD has made towards that.

I expect to be part of a very small and select group.

Greatful of his contribution to the AFL but he seems to put his head in the sand far to often in regards to particular issues. He isn't aggressive enough and needs to be more upfront. He treats the fans like peseants and needs to screw on his head sometimes.

Don't get too excited...short memory must have a....

Anyone at Dallas Brooks Hall in 1996 should contrast the Wayne Jackson/Ross Okley period with the AD one.

I don't want to go through that again and don't think we will thanks to the strengthening that has occurred, partly due to AD's reign.

Let's hope they pick another Victorian if this is true

Well said Fan. I can't recall Wayne Jackson or Ross Oakley providing compensation to us, the bulldogs or the roos for a heavily fixed draw.

Try stepping into Demetriou's shoes. That is one job I would never want to do.

As Deelicious said, everything he does, good, bad, stupid or genius, he gets scrutinised.

I just wonder who will be his replacement if he does leave.

I think his priorities for the game are all wrong and I will be happy to see the back of him.

I think turning his back on the Telstra Dome transfer agreement sold out fans, and allowing the draw to be totally pillaged by the rich sides has created more inequity in our competition than ever. I think this compensation point is a farce - the AFL has created a self-fulfilling prophecy that creates the need for compensation.

And yes, he has supported 16 teams, but he intervenes in Boardrooms (buying North shares, saying he supports Butterss, etc..) and would love North to be re-located/re-branded/destroyed.

He is incapable of responding to criticism in a positive way, and is evasive when asked about issues that are controversial. He has swept many issues under the carpet, and the current TV deal is an absolute disgrace in that if you don't have Foxtel, you don't have footy.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
