  1. Don't get too excited...short memory must have a.... Anyone at Dallas Brooks Hall in 1996 should contrast the Wayne Jackson/Ross Okley period with the AD one. I don't want to go through that again and don't think we will thanks to the strengthening that has occurred, partly due to AD's reign. Let's hope they pick another Victorian if this is true
  2. Yeh, I'm almost convinced on adding Rivers to the untouchables list. Thrice watch the way Jones moves at stoppages, the guys the best reader of the ball I've seen in about 15 years of watching the MFC. Consistently NJ is a step above everyone else and sticks other players in perfect position with a clever disposal....check out some Greg Williams highlights - that's #2. Brock is great (especially his ability to turn on against the filth) but Jones tops the untouchables list even after 2 years in the game. Is it just me or does anyone else find it strange that while CBruce isn't talked about in any 'untouchables' discussion he's never talked about as a possible player to offload (is this coz of the contract??). Anyway, I reckon the guy is the best DT player that's closest to being dropped. Terrible downhill career since Brent Guerra picked him up and piledrived his shoulder.
  3. Just thought an exclusive thread would be interesting. IMO, the only untouchable right now is the Jones boy. Some would say Brock, but I just don't know if anyone on the list has the kind of must-keep-quality that #2 has got. so who else?????? Brent Girgic??(I do know he hasn't been on the list for years, just felt like a laugh)
  4. Really?? If we want Judd we need to give something. It seems to either be a Rivers or Frawley exchange somewhere down the line. Rivers is the biggest loss but you are adding the best midfielder in the comp, while losing an exellent potential AA backman. Even with this Surely Chip can step up with some experience under his belt and fill the void. Without Judd we still have a lazy midfield with 2 excellent prospects in Jonesy and Brock who desperately need a role model. Our backline has been deplorable but taking into consideration the neglect our midfield has shown in defending and the absence of, imo, the best small back in the comp in whelan for the year, adding Judd for Johnstone, Rivers and a pick package might not be the defensive armageddon you envisage.
