Assuming they are all playing I would be TMac to Lynch, Lever to Faull, Turner to Lefau.
I suspect CJ will come in for XT unless we have anyone sore on short turnaround.

Blake Howes can cover someone like a Faull or Lefau.

Hes proven this year that not only can he play on the talls but the smalls as well.

Turner did a decent enough job on Ben King few weeks back, cant see why they wouldnt role with that type of match up again on Tom Lynch.

I was in the same basket of bringing Tmsc in bu the more I think about it, the more I think CJ will come in instead.

More agile but can also play tall with his leap and bounce out of half back.

Turner can take Lynch.

While CJ can miss targets, he is very quick and can get to a contest and break away from it like few others.

He adds to defensive pressure.

If he can improve his disposal, with fewer turnovers, he can be a weapon, especially with the offensive game style we are now using.

I think it comes down to what structure does King want to play. With Petty out you are starting to change the structural make up and the role Disco has to play if you don't bring TMac in.
Don't mind us going more mobile but it does come with risk.

Mmmmm Lynch in could be a problem if he regains his kicking accuracy. Without looking at the stats, I believe he’s still getting a lot of shots on goal, he’s just been inaccurate. It’s not like he’s nowhere near it.

Goals breed confidence so if he’s able to slot some early we might see an invigorated performance. They won’t be rubbish forever.

CJ showed incredible speed at training yesterday. He has some flaws with disposal, but I hope he is in as his burst is exciting and really breaks lines. Russell Richards anyone?

Does Jiath come back in when fit?

At the moment, yes. And he probably takes Taylor's spot.

CJ comes in for Petty I think.

Xav Taylor gets another week

Only other change I would imagine could happen is Laurie for Cross/Henderson (I would like to see Cross get another crack at it)

The absence of Petty probably increases the chances of Heath getting another game. Without Heath and Petty, JVR will probably be thrown back into the second ruck position.

I can see Tom Lynch being a bit of a handful tomorrow night. I expect him to have 6 or 7 shots at goal.

If we're only gonna play Heath for a collective quarter, I'd sacrifice his ruck nous for Kentfields + forward craft

lynch remains one of the best key forwards in the competition

he immediately makes the tigs a 4+ goal better side

for trackwatchers like @Ghostwriter, was t mac part of the 26-man captain's run squad?

T Mac wasn’t present per the training thread. no chance off a 5 day break for the old fella

CJ and Cross or Hendo to come in

he has kicked 40 goals over the past 4 years

Injuries have taken their toll. Even when he gets on the park he is average these days

Jeffo definitely gets another crack.

He showed glimpses of improvement last year and each time Goody dropped him.

we need to be patient. I think he gets somewhat intimidated on the big stage.

He needs to play.... especially games like this to build his confidence.

This guy will surpass Jvr.

JVR has shown far more than Jefferson since day 1.

He's a quality mark but he goes missing far too much. He's in his fourth year as an AFL player. I'd give him a month in the seniors to see if he can build some form but it's completely up to him if he can hold his spot.

Yeah and the odds of him making it through a full game uninjured are low too

Fox has said nothing about this match on any of its shoes - is like it doesn’t exist. On Punt Road End, they’ve already given up. Previously the match has been pumped up, why the lack of press?

Because Richmond are on track to collect the spoon.

Once Tigers get Hotton Similie Armstrong on the park plus last years draft picks and next years picks they will be stacked. they’ll be a solid team in 3 years or so but not sure Yze can ride the wave that long

Faull, Armstrong and Trainor aren't much chop

Smillie and Hotton have significant durability issues 5 mins into their careers

Early days but that 2024 draft was not so super for them

Lynch is well past it mate.

Way too early to say these guys aren’t much chop. They’re key position players six rounds into their second season, come on…

Fourth year.

He's played about 7 senior gigs.

He is 26 and has always had issues with disposal, if it could be fixed it would have already, id rather have Langdon back there like last week in his place with Fritsch up the field. CJ is just to costly for whatever good he brings.

yes, but when he's fit and performing he makes the whole tigs side a 4+ goal a game better side

he's the difference between them being competitive and not

That's because you need to earn your spot in the team. Completely up to Jefferson to do that.

I know one week at a time, but if we decide to go in with only Turner and Lever as our tall defenders tomorrow night, I don't think that's enough for next week when we play Curnow, Amartey and Logan McDonald.

A pity Jed Adams hasn't progressed.

Hopefully they only have 6 or 7 inside 50s

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
