How great is having a coach who provides positive, reflective and insightful pressers. He keeps his answers simple but the clarity and small insights he provides are refreshing.

I've heard a few coaches over time put their hand up when they feel they haven't performed or supported the players during games but they don't usually give you the how or why that Kingy provides here. E.g. the outcomes vs process explanation is a clear self-critique we as supporters can understand and appreciate.

I genuinely look forward to coach press interviews now.

He's a quality person.

Harrison petty 6 goals? Look destined to be a star key forward. Roo 5 too

True with Petty against Richmond, albeit not on ANZAC Eve.

I remember him clunking everything that came his way that day.

Then he did his ankle the following week against North which alongside Melksham's ACL a couple of weeks later blew up our premiership chances.

Nah the tigers have nothing to beat us, Essendon have a few star players, that can do something special, we win but it won't be a huge margin, dees by 25 points, only because of the short turn around

Early days, I found King's speaking capabilities, in both content and delivery, a bit wanting.

But he's certainly growing on me.

Yeah, but it's still a special night. Probably the only special night Richmond supporters might have this year. Our performance over in Adelaide will probably give them just a grain of hope as well.

Why are we playing in Adelaide? Richmond have lost there only experienced midfielder, Essendon showed good signs the week before against the bulldogs, and had a few players coming back, and still have 2 all Australian midfielders.

Not sure what you mean. Everyone plays in Adelaide. It's Gather Round. There isn't an opt out.

No luck on ticket tek.

Mcadam was 2-3 weeks away on injury report last week but the new injury report that came out last night now has him at TBC

He might as well have season out, no value in playing this bloke, no value at all

Same with Mihocek.

Iโ€™ve been on a sailboat for two months and am just getting on top of the news. Utterly unaware of anything that has happened on the footy field.

Now back to Mihocek - what a waste of $1.5m over 2 years. Heโ€™s 32?!!

Thereโ€™s no value in playing this bloke

No value at all

Unless we are winning of course then there is inherent value in anyone who can help us win games especially with a young team over a long season.

But other than that.

Again, I have been incommunicado for 2 months as I said.

Donโ€™t get me started on Jack Steele

Tom Burton to debut too

Looked like a handy player, small zippy accumulator type but ultimately went undrafted in the 2025 national draft

Does anyone know what time the gates open on Friday?

All Spectators MUST Be Seated By 7pm

Folks who arenโ€™t in their seats by 7pm will need to wait until the end of the ceremony before getting to their seats

What could possibly go wrong?

King kept referencing the need for 'fresh legs' in his presser

Wouldn't be shocked to see Checkers get managed...just gut feel of course

Would allow them to play Heath some more mins

Bringing in T Mac off a full game 5 days ago would be the opposite of fresh legs imp

Henderson, Cross and Matthews are big changes to come in

We have a 9 day break after so time to recover which is nice

Mate itโ€™s been a week and a half since the last awful loss. 10 years in Demonland time.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competitionโ€™s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
