Our forward line has to step up & we can't just let Harris Andrews dominate

Not sure we have a choice other than shooting him before 1/4 time.. just sayin’

Hopefully this is correct, Jeffo is a class above at Casey and with X.T deserves a gig Now!

Jeffo is a slightly above very average Casey footballer, nothing more nothing less.

I’m sorry PF but you’re delusional

It might be.

We aren’t a good team after all.

Was wondering what this little image was on the banner when the boys run out. Is it something for Max to punch as he leads the boys out or something else always been curious

It’s something we started this season. Every week the little Demon says something different. Sometimes it’s something that pertains to the cheer squad or a member of the cheer squad and sometimes it’s a message for the team.

Max punches it because Max. It’s his little way of acknowledging us ❤️💙

Even allowing us to play at the level we played v Gold Coast, this will be a tough ask.

Brisbane’s list is stupidly good, miles in front of the other 17 clubs IMO. A-graders everywhere, young talent everywhere, solid system.

Their scoring prowess should be too much for our very sub-standard defence.

Having said all that, I felt the same way before the GC game, plus we played some really good footy for 2-3 quarters v Fremantle. So you never know.

The offensive power of Brisbane is an obvious problem

But they also bring a very tricky control based game style, similar to Essendon. Brisbane will work the ball up the ground with precise kicking, hopefully we have some plans to counter it but I am not too sure.

In the fight game, they say styles make fights. Our contest and movement focused style was usable against Blues, Freo and GC since they were happy to go toe-to-toe and scrap it out with us.

Brisbane's style/system will likely be too match to handle.

Agree,

The lions game plan is more aggressive than the Bombers in that yes, they use lots of short kick mark plays but they usually go forward, and once an opportunity to go quick appears go quick (or long) whereas the Bombers go sideways and back heaps. The lions have the skill to hit those forward 20-30 metres kicks whereas the bombers don't.

The only way to beat the Lins method is to pressure the kicker and press right up on the receiver and either spoil, intercept or at the very least hold them up so they cant quick and/or long.

Much will depend on whether we have the gas in the tank.

I reckon your wish may be granted, Fencey.

Yesterday I told him that I reckon he’s in this week. He asked what makes me think so. I told him the telltale sign is that he’s happy, which is not normal. He said, “I’m always happy!” I said, “Yes but does your face know it?” He laughed and said, “I’m happy where it matters… on the inside.”

Not solid evidence, just a feeling I’ve got.

LOL Jadams said Jeffo has a “full-on resting b!ttchh face.” 🤣

Has provided virtually nothing for 4 games .. how else?

Hard to know what his actual ability capacity is. He’s an enigma

Ive also got some early mail that Jeffo is in this week. Keen to see him build on his strong preseason

We had better defend all over the ground a lot better than we did against the bummers otherwise the lions will tear us to shreds with their elite kicking skills.

I have also heard this

Will be interesting to see how we run out the game. First 4 we looked to be running hard late into games but against Dons after half time we seemed to run out of puff.

1 hour ago, whatwhat say what said:

they're the best team and have the deepest list in the competition

monumental task, but we beat em last year at the gabba, so...

And we have a long injury list.

It will be a chance to just have a go without expectations.

When is the team announced?

Probably on the 12.35 a.m flight from Quebec!

Luker debut please footy gods 🤞 🤞

If Luker was going to debut you'd think he'd have a video up online from the club by now.

How the furg does Van Rooyen get GIFTED games 1 Goal in 4 games is a dreadful return.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
