NON-MFC: Round 5

Extremely unpopular opinion, I would have prefer Collingwood to win. Canโ€™t stand Freo after how much theyโ€™ve spanked us in the last few years, add in Voss and it tips me over.

Plus, without Collingwood the competition is boring, only leaves Carlton to make fun of. Without Fremantle, no one cares.

Wowwww! 115 minutes of mind-numbingly boring footy followed by five minutes of excitement.

Collingwood lost. All is good and holy in the world.

Great mark near the end by Treacy. Shocking game good result.

Wasn't it? He took that mark like it was a sunny afternoon. Anyway Collingwood lose so that's a good thing.

I think I despise Freo more because they keep trying to steal our players over and over.

Never boring when the outcome is a pies lost.

Watching paint dry for over 3 and a half quarters to see Freo overcome pies cheating and the umps rewarding it is never dull for me.

My hatred of pies is very close to the inverse of my love for the Mfc.

I'm sure your looking forward to seeing your despised club in Essendon get their bottoms handed to them tomorrow.

Never forget Maynard ending GBs career and Moores accidental right angled knee into the back of Tracca to gain elevation. Never seen that angle aid that goal.

And I should sdd only just beat us in that final to go on and beat the..lions but a bad umpire call. They were a mediocre team compared to us and taking Gus out had a major impact and would have seen us with a flag at the G. But it was often course a footy act where a bloke got absolutely pole axed in the first few minutes of the game. And of course being a pies player got to play in the Gf.

And then we had to watch Eddie M do a sickening jig at some swanky restaurant after the tribunal let him off totally free.

Worst of all, deep down we all need it would happen.

There seems to be two sets of rules in this game and one of them is specifically for the club that despite these different regulations lost tonight.

Thank goodness.

Can't wait to play them this year.

They have had some very lucky wins v us aided as usual by our friends.

There's definitely a bias towards them. Id like to give the umps the benefit of the doubt and put it down to being swayed by crowd noise. But that ducking call when the whistle was blown a fraction before the player dropped his head seemed highly questionable.

Don't ever forget we lost a great player and ambassador of the club and very likely a premiership because of this team and their dirty tactics.

It was a huge price and I hope soon, we get to repay the debt. Revenge is a dish best served co..........blow it I want it asap.

Does anyone really miss him? When he & spargo left I though meh. We've got the players to cover them.

This is a bazaar game.

A market place? That's bizarre!

Wow, it takes Carlton an entire half to waste a game of football. Collingwood can do it in just three minutes.

Yawnfest overall but Ahhh ha ha ha ha haaaaaa.

Collingwood must feel like kicking themselves over those easy Q4 goals they stuffed up, but they'd probably miss.

And of course Moore taking Kozzieโ€™s knees out diving low, seen by that totally compromised, biased, unintelligent Collingwood lackey Christian as knee to the head. Should have been a free TO Kozzie.

There's always Geelong being totally humiliated every time by big Maxy.

He loves taking the cats out for a walk down humble street.

All I have to do is send my brother in law a photo of Max before the game and he's probably had three extra malts before the games even started.

Geez Brayshaw stood up, I always think there is nothing of him, looks 70kg in the wet, but he played like a bull.

Gomer Pyle summed up my feelings toward the Heave Hos ... "thank you, thank you, thank you!".

I only watched the last few (joyous) minutes. Great to see the strutting peacock miss a shot for goal. Despite that, I presume he will still get 3 Brownlow votes?

I wouldnโ€™t mind having taken Anderson in the draft.

Taken 37 picks after we took Matthews.

Letโ€™s see what Matthewโ€™s is like when heโ€™s 22 years old to compare. Did a couple of nice bullocking things and a goal but nothing I would think our best 23 needs.

Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competitionโ€™s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
