Masterclass of centre bounce clearances by Oliver and Petracca. 18 to 9 is 2021 stuffโ€ฆ.um!

It wasn't just winning the CV it was the speed and accuracy we took it out at.

They were often like seeing the Matrix.

Don't see it myself. Love the enthusiasm and attack on the footy, but decision-making and disposal are not at anything like the same level.

Challenge to the cheer squad to chant this during the game!

Steele must be in the conversation for recruit of the year.

26 touches at 92% and 8 tackles.

Has arguably had far more impact (on and off the field) than any one of Ryan, Silvangi, TDK and Flanders have had at St Kilda.

Bloody awesome effort.

Sparrow looks so new and improved.

Steele is the best thing for this club in years.

Sharp is fantastic.

Koz and Latrelle are awesome, you canโ€™t teach their skill. LSP needs some stamina and muscle but once he has that, look out. Koz bumped Rowell in the head, hopefully itโ€™s missed, and if not missed, deemed accidental.

Gawn is amazing.

Backline was fantastic.

Forward line firing.

Howes is brilliant.

Turner is brilliant.

So happy. What a win.

Thank you for simply giving us a footy team again. A confident, solid, committed footy team.

Stuffed a play and immediately made amends. He's our very own junk yard dog. Every team needs one.

And a ripping kid to boot.

That was a very loud very enthusiastic Melbourne crowd, well done to all who were there. We were right behind the boys and I reckon they got a lift from us!

ย

Latrelle is starting to look more comfortable at this level. Equal game high 8 score involvements alongside Gawn and Sparrow.

I'm glad we stuck with him after that round 2 performance.

Has the kicking I think, but still half a second off is his decision making

The man of Steele will be pick-up of the season. Bookmark it

Yup, what a player. Iโ€™d like to take this moment to thank the St Kilda football club for gifting us both the man of Steele and Moose( bog in vfl today) for a packet of chips.

Huge shout out to our backline. After King looking so dominant at quarter time, they banded together to own their zone. Lever, Howes, TMac, Salem and a special mention of Lindsay after half time. His poise and kicking was outstanding. They have 3 huge power forwards and as a unit, we limited their impact.

Who does Maxy take to the cleaners next week?

Gawn, Pickett, Steele and sparrow had a combined 28 tackles.

The epitome of leaders leading from the front! ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ”ต

A great afternoon. Dees win, wine and chocolate.

One of the best performances since 2021, just proud of the lads and a coach breathing new life into them.

We might get our flowers after that one. UP THE MIGHTY FORKIN DEES!

Theyโ€™re tough, these Demons. Iโ€™ll say it again. Thereโ€™s a touch of John Northey in this team. How farkun good was that.

Just love how Sharpe has improved, melksham still offers something & I thought petty took some handy marks today.

In the past I've been critical of kozzie at times but he is just blossoming this year.

That was just a fantastic win.

iโ€™m liking Lindsay off HB.

Good decision maker. Great learning for him similar to Windsor last year

There might have only been 24,000 but the G was the loudest I've heard in a while riding every bump

GO YOU LITTLE BEAUTIES! My first game in at least 15 years. My hands and my voice are shot. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ˆ

How about disco keeping Ben king goalless in the second half, what a return! ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿชฉ

Agree.

thought he really gave it all today. Spoiling, tackling, second and third efforts. Most Iโ€™ve seen him give it.

What a gem.

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competitionโ€™s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
