We ‘won’ that quarter and squandered chances we should have converted.

At least the effort rate increased. All we need now is to come out with the same/better intensity, take our chances and hope that Th e blues deliver their second half special. Which is a sad thing to hope for, really.

    Sorry but he has very few attributes aside from occasional tackles and some minor pressure at present.

    He might find them at some point in the future but for now he's a fair way off AFL level and alot to learn to get back AND stay there.

    Gee it’s jarring to see us get so dominated in the contest and clearance. Really need to show some intent at the coal face.. unfortunately I’m not sure who is capable in this midfield excl. Steele.

    This is King's team now.

    Time to stop the excuses and wait until we have enough experience in the midfield and Bowey back in defence.

    Viney back into this midfield would be very helpful.

    What’s the game plan don’t win centre clearances or defend both ways , bomb to nominate one …. King needs to make the adjustment or we will get flogged each week

    Anyone watching practice match vs Norf and wonder why we are playing 1 ruck ??

    Max Heath deserve the opportunity to be playing.

    I understand Max Gawn is a legend, but in this day we need to show unpredictable football.

    Just a thought.

    We are where we belong unless we change and just trying to move ball quick, when we clearly aren't skilled enough is not good enough

    In the second half I would love to see these highly skilled professional athletes

    -mark the ball when it is kicked to them

    -pick up the ball when it is near them

    -catch the ball when it is hand balled to them

    -kick the he ball to each other, rather than to the opposing team or to nobody at all

    If we can succeed at these core skills I think we might get to watch a professional football team

    Agree, after a shaky start, Lever has been solid. Hes attacking the contest, Salem……….. not so much

      The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
      Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
