PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda

Featured Replies

T-Mac stuck on 249 games and no milestone interview from the club suggests that he won't be in the final game day side. Ghosty and her crew would also surely have been give a heads up about this for the run through.

14 studio albums and a recent EP yet not one U2 track? Sheesh.

I would take in a bench of Tholstrup, Culley, Pickett, Rivers and TMac. TMac for me brings us flexibility in forward and back rotations and plan B options as well as a ruck chop out for Max at low minutes. In saying that I feel Melksham will somehow slide in ahead of TMac or Kolt.

AND WHERE THE PERRFUUURG IS JEFFO'S GOAL SONG FFS!

He’s gone with Simon and Garfunkel

“The Sounds of Silence”

Looks like Sharp may miss but he’ll be stiff as he’s had a great summer and preseason.

Given our fixture, Sunday Bloody Sunday could have been apt

How old is Langford?? ‘Believe’!!?! Ok, I’m sure there must be a few Cher fans out there, but what’s a young fella like Langford doing listening to that stuff? And as for Max, what the hell?? or should I say heaven?

To me there are just three, two of which I give a barely passed mark… Daft Punk nearly had me until the god awful autotune kicks in… Titanium with Sia is pleasant enough, but JVR, who appears to have been raiding his parent’s record collection, wins with Rock the Casbah (although there are 50 Clash songs I’d probably pick before it😉).

If you’re going to go through the parent’s collection, Verve’s ‘Symphony Bittersweet’ is a good ‘un as are songs like Itchykoo Park (Small Faces), Iggy Pop’s Passenger, Bowie’s Life on Mars or Heroes… I know everyone has different tastes, but, well, er, um, jeebus…I don’t know…

It’s the Kolt that chose Cher, which kinda makes more sense with his cheeky don’t give AF vibe?

I reckon they are told to pick soft upbeat karaoke classics/terrible songs so the public can get into it

but agree some of them are horrible.

And has Maxy found god? Or maybe he is god? wtf either way

So good to see Culley's name on the extended bench. After his sparkling preseason, really excited to see what he can do out on the G' round 1. Fingers crossed.

Apologies in advance for the lame statement but does anyone else think that Jack Steele looks exceptionally good in our colours?

I'd go as far as to say he's never dressed better/sharper/smarter in his life.

Alternatively ‘White Rabbit’ by the Jefferson Airplane

How is this for an oxymoron. I really don’t like this idea of hearing songs being played after each goal but I hope to hear plenty of it!

(Presumption being that no songs are played when the opposition side scores)

I think what annoys me the most was I liked having a chat with my mates after goals were kicked. Might be a bit harder to do now. Such is.

Poor judgement by PF.

The jury is still out but has shown enough to suggest he could hold down a spot.

Feel sorry for Bill Laurie. A real trier but looks unlikely to make it

Why feel sorry.

Has managed to stay on an AFL list for 6 years without ever showing much.

Should be dominating at Casey.

LOL. Bay City Rollers! Maybe Bye Bye Baby in ode to BP5 and Claz?

I'd be looking at the likes of KT Tunstall, King Creosote or Belle & Sebastian.

At least when he does get his chance (and he will) he won't have to wear the dreaded sub vest.

Strictly tongue in cheek Rab. Although true story, l was briefly mistaken as a member of BCR, outside the Festival Hall ticket office by some BCR tweenies. I was much younger, better looking, wearing a tartan shirt, plus had the requisite hair style.

Van Morrison on a good day is more my cup of tea.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
